Wait until the new Shane Gibson's minimum wage kick in next month . Unemployment will skyrocket. As for the armed forces receiving overtime pay, It is a catch 22 situation. Does this mean that police are no longer officers 24/7? This ruling not only have the potential to become extremely expensive but gives police officers grounds to refuse when they are called to duty. It puts grave restrictions on authorities to manage the manpower of the force

What Bah Mar has effectively done by constructing this dock from its shore all to the breakwater pilings is effectively closed off and claimed the beach. This is definitely illegal as many boaters used this through fare especially when the weather is bad and they don't want to go on the outside in the ocean. So the foreigners continue to come and violate the laws of the Bahamas and trample on the rights of Bahamians. Seems that their intention was to claim that entire section of the sea. The dock must be removed!

No one ever denied that Junkanoo Carnival had a favorable impact on the Bahamas. If you are home, unemployed with nothing to do and then you get the opportunity to attend free entertainment events, then the impact was favorable to you. The concern was the economic impact the event had on the Bahamas.

Persons get offended when one speaks out about what is happening in this country today. But the murder count is at 90 with five more full months to go before the end of the year. These constant headlines of young men being murdered day after day cry out more than any billboard that was erected in the country. Then there is the cry of the mothers and other family members that say how their loved one was chased down and shot like a dog in the streets and after two, three four years no information is forth coming from the police. One mother recently indicated that two of her sons and five of their friends have been slayed in less than two years. There has to be something wrong with this. Seriously wrong. Apparently once a person is killed and the report indicated that , "he had been recently released from jail"," was on bail", "had on an ankle monitoring bracelet", "or was known to police." then his cold blooded murder seems to have been justified. Then why is the murder rate increasing? Who was given the authority to execute young, Bahamian men on the streets and even in their own homes and is basing their actions on whose judgment? Time to stand against this wickedness Bahamas. By December 31, 2015 it appears the murder count for 2015 will be 150.

While considering the importance of this project to the economy of the Bahamas, this government must e extremely careful not to extend itself in the form of a guarantor and bring further hardship on the backs of the Bahamian people. The road for Bah Mar seems rocky ahead and the government has been more than generous to this project. What happens if Bah Mar and the other developers eventually pull out, leaving the Bahamas government to pay the mortgage on an empty building?
