Also young women are realizing that is is no longer easy to use a child as an economic tool to tax a man or a social tool to lock him down.

There is going to be a change in the crime element in the Bahamas. This may be the end of the 1980's and 1990's drug and cocaine babies Bahamian. Because of the tight and long lasting economic recession Bahamian mothers are no longer raising their children on material things. Gone are the days when mothers were buying even infant children $90 Jordan tennis and polo and tommy brand clothing. More importantly many young men are taking a genuine in their children and taking an active part in their lives. Even when the relationship breaks down between them and the mothers, more fathers, especially the young ones, are applying for joint custody or more visitation rights because they genuinely want to be a part of their children's lives. The benefits of this will be seen as less and less children turn to crime and gang activity. The biggest concern in the near future is for the children of those 100 plus young men when they grow up. How will they react to growing up fatherless. How will they cope when they get to understand that their daddy was taken from them at an early age by some murderer. So yes we will see a decrease in violent crime and murder as some family values are restored. Then it's left to the powers that be to ensure that social values are maintained and also that person's do not turn to crime because there are no economic activity.

It is not Clico but RND, BoB, Freeport Concrete (Robin Hood) to name a few that caused Bahamians to lose millions. RND (now listed under another name). Has not put out a report in how many years and while some brokers have removed Freeport Concrete from their books, others still have it listed. The entire Bahamian stock market took a beating over the past eighth years. There is money to be earned but it is risky and long term. And yes most Bahamians don't have the capital or experience for this level of investment yet. Atlantis bought back their shares when they were in the height of growth and profitability.

Please take Mr. Minnis to a nursing home for some rest and relaxation. He seems to be cracking even under the pressure of being leader of the official opposition. Don't let him allow Perry to become a "shoe in" pm come 2017.

unfortunately if someone rings your doorbell claiming to be BEC workers your first reaction is to interact with them. You either assume they come to cut you off or something is wrong. One woman says they were telling her that the last payment she made was not showing up on her account. Apparently she was saved from being robbed when a neighbor pulled up. The "workers" told her she needed to go to BEC office to sort the matter out then they left in a hurry
