Florida voters narrowly rejected a plan to legalize medical marijuana, but voters in Washington, D.C., and Oregon both approved recreational pot use by adults, according to preliminary tallies.

Alaska's voters also were considering a measure to tax, regulate and legalize recreational marijuana use, and early returns gave legalization a small lead.
As America legalizes weed state by state where does this leave the Bahamas, especially on the issue of drug smuggling

When you look at the penalties this government is set to impose on businesses that even make an honest mistake in the VAT regulations (fines that can cause the demise of their businesses or jail time, the management of BOB should not be allowed to carry on business as usual after they obviously wasn't following proper banking rules when the bank lossed over a hundred million dollars.. Leaving the same management team in place is like writing the movie, "Lets Do It Again,(or at least "Lets do it Some More").

Well Florida is voting on a bill to legalize marijuana as we speak. Even though they say it is for medical use only, you wont need a prescription to buy weed, How will this affect the Bahamas if it passes. Young folk can drive to Florida and smoke weed legally and party as opposed to coming to the Bahamas to face our crime and risk getting arrested for a joint. I am not advocating legalizing marijuana in the Bahamas. just saying America is doing everything to keep their citizens at home.

Before 1967 the whites conchy joes shouted “white Power!”

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call of a mother in labor. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a three-year-old toddler, to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.
Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked.

Mommy pushed and pushed and, after a little while, baby Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry.

The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed girl what she thought about what she had just witnessed. Kathleen quickly responded, “He shouldn’t have crawled in there in the first place. . .smack his ass again!”

This man (John Rolle) is already threatening businesses, many of whom are considering closing down before the implementation of VAT. Rather than taking such harsh and hostile posture against these businesses that are to become mandatory and **unpaid** revenue collection agents for the government, John Rolle should try convincing his bosses to give incentives to early registrants. Laptops, PC's, and VAT compliant software are some suggestions. Despite his threats, John Rolle can do nothing to force companies to register until the deadline passes so his tough talk is just air. And John Rolle should also put in a requisition for a new suit!
