They need to close BAMSI down or turn it over to the University of The Bahamas. It is a total waste of taxpayers' money. It has no vision and is not productive. They need to turn those fields into massive hurricane-resistant greenhouses. Then they need to develop supply chain guarantees with the hotels, restaurants, and food stores.

It is interesting that the Auditor General did not mention that we were under the Emergency Orders at the time which supersedes other laws.

Freeport needs as much good news as it can get. They need someone to buy the old Princess hotel and casino. That would be a game-changer.

Thank God it is not a burden on the backs of the Bahamian taxpayers anymore. Everything must be done to ensure success.

This is really good. They need to first acquire all of the connecting properties on Oka Hill. This would allow for more stages and a dressing room.

That was paid to the US government. We do not have the balls to charge them.

The government needs to deal with this as a sense of emergency. The baseball stadium and other unnecessary projects can go on hold until this is completed.

While in opposition, the PLP made plenty of noise. It is always easier to oppose than govern. They have also not lived up to some of their campaign promises like the Integrity Bill within 100 days of being the government. Time to stop slapping up and start governing.

A larger percentage of the profits should be required to remain in the country as a reserve. Also, all of that money was made locally therefore they should be required to give back more to the country. It is also good that they are going to stop them from discriminating against the smaller law firms. A handful of law firms control the mortgage market.

This is unbelievable. The union is acting like money is being taken away. From a year ago Atlantis told employees that they were switching to bi-monthly payments. They had numerous consultation with various groups of employees especially those in the tipping category. They said it was industry standard. Baha Mar pays bi-monthly also so what's the problem. They showed how much they were loosing in administrative cost by paying weekly. The employees will receive the same money. People just have to learn how to budget. The other issue is that they will have to pay National Insurance of the tips. This is a very small amount. However, when the time comes they will get more benefits. That would be a type of savings for them. However, Bahamians don't like to pay taxes, no matter how much or what benefits. We need a mindset shift.
