and yet what does this have to do with the high rate of unemployment & crime in the bahamas? nothing at all. There are far bigger problems not being addressed than to spend time focusing on these set of human beings who are not even thinking about us in the first place.
Yep and some forget that these same government agencies who are supposed to be helping the people are the one's who are back burning the people. We are treated like immigrants in our own country while the foreigner invests and lives a life we citizens could only dream about.
Ahh so they rather shut down the potters cay vendors who are actually providing some bahamian delicacies to the tourists and people, rather than shutting down those webshops I see. The enforcement is really and truly 'selective' rather than responsive and reactive. We had a whole day off from business to conduct the so called 'gambling referendum' and spent $1million+, yet those pirating businesses continue to thrive. Isnt it appalling that the voice of the people is yet to be heard? It seems that they do anything for media appeal but is the problem that we citizens face really being solved?
Even though there is room for debate when it comes to Nygard and his involvement with the stem cell research. Nygard is an alienated Bahamian and should not be looked down upon just because he is successful in his own business and decides to contribute to various governmental departments and/or Bahamian events. If you ask me Nygard has made generous contributions, A lot of what we don't see from majority of those 'wealthy' Lyford Cay residents. He is simply securing his retirement here, by giving back to the Bahamas especially in the form of events that we so desperately need like many mentioned in this article. Nygard's contribution is not a crime but simply help that many do not offer.
Cont'd... If everyone enters your premises at any hour of the day to pick 3 to 4 numbers for .25cents or more, the chance of one or more particular persons picking the right numbers when they acutally fall, is very low and therefore a payout will turn into a source of income until someone picks the right numbers, and they change everyday, and if it aint much in the businesses savings to pay out, they will pay in installments, and if it is too much to pay out, then the business shuts down ultimately. But if you are a number shop and have been running for years, your odds of shutting down because of a massive pay out is very slim because money is always coming in. This business is a black market, very hard to control.

Truly an embarrassment for the FNM. These new leaders are something else, and something that is very hard to get used to. We need Papa back!
