More nonsense from the "Tribune Columnist". Hair color, Democrats supporting lawlessness, Epstein, MJT.......

Shameful. The leadership of our country is failing us. In a modern society this is an utter disgrace and our political class is responsible for the sad situation.

If our country had a hint of political, legal, and moral leadership, a special investigation would be undertaken by the Attorney Generals office, and criminal charges would be brought. Followed rapidly with a restructuring of the PMH organization.

If.

Porcupine, I respect your posts and while we may disagree on a certain number of things (including your opinion of the current US Administrations approach to illegal immigration), I believe your ad hominem attacks detract from your usually well thought out opinions.

That being said, it is fine for us to agree or disagree.

Best regards!

Unfortunately, the previous Administration in the United States allowed illegal immigration to run rampant, all the while lying about the situation at the border. As a result, change is taking place. In some cases it is moderate in it's action and in other cases it not moderate in its action.

Sir Ronald along with others must realize that unchecked illegal immigration has negative impacts on nearly everything (health care, schools, housing, food banks, wages and most importantly crime). The current Administration in the United States is implementing needed change. It will level out and there will be some adjustments to the process. However, the vast majority of Americans agree with addressing illegal immigration and the problems associated with it.

Sir Ronald should understand that this is part of the change and it likely will settle itself out.

Agreed.

The problem with BPL is not simply an Abaco outage or disruption. The lack of reliable power at a reasonable cost impacts all of us across the nation. Inept leadership, bureaucracy, and a lack of a downright will to improve, leaves us with a poorly run, undependable energy supply. We certainly have the ability to ensure power facilities are well equipped and reinforced with backup equipment that is operative when needed. But, it seems that BPL routinely fails the minimum amount of preparedness. This falls squarely on the senior leadership, mid level management, and field level supervisors/technicians who know of the gaps and fail to get them addressed. While financial restitution might be warranted it does not solve the problem.

We are better than this.

Well said Porcupine. Spot on.

When building codes and health standards are ignored and disregarded, the result is what we have witnessed at Arawak Cay.

The area has unrealized potential. Time will tell if a turn around can be made.
