In general and as a point of interest. When corporations are taxed it usually ends up as a direct "pass through" to the consumer.

Interesting twist of certain information included in the post.

The real perpetrators and instigators of the attack on the US Capitol are the Democrat Socialists who stood by, encouraged and cheered on nearly six months of violent riots throughout the United States by the Black Lives Matter organization. In doing so, they legitimized violent protests. Vice President Harris even went so far as to encourage her followers to supply bail money for the arrested "peaceful protesters".

The double standard is the Democrat Socialists favorite weapon and when their own words are used against them they cry insurrection and extremism. LOL!! The article linked in this post features the words of Democrat Socialist Congresswoman Maxine Waters, with the name Trump replaced with the name Cuomo and the tweets written by outraged Democrats is all the evidence needed to see how the virtuous do-gooders respond. When questioned about their tweets, suddenly the tweets were deleted.

Mr. Kinzinger will more than likely be called to account for his "principled" stand at some point going forward.

But, but, but wait.............the Chinese will come and save the day. Just ask Sir Ronald Sanders.

Poor Diane.

JohnQ says...

Good Ole, Sir Ronald Sanders.

Ask him why the Paris Accord is just an Accord and not a US Treaty. Ask him what major Country has made significant progress in reducing carbon emissions. Ask him what Countries continue to pollute and emit without any real progress towards reducing their footprint. Ask Good Ole Sir Ronald about his warm relationship with China. Ask him why he double talks about the US and China frequently. Ask Good Ole Sir Ronald about the virus that is impacting every part of the world and listen to his double talk non answer. Just ask him..........

Once again. Poor Diane, her woke whiteness is showing.

Malcolm X was a Muslim minister and human rights activist. Born in 1925, he met his death at the hands of an assassin in 1965. Malcolm X was a courageous advocate for black civil rights. Malcom X had it right many years ago when he said and I quote;

"The worst enemy that the Negro have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love Negros and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Negros have. If the Negro wasn't taken, tricked or deceived by the white liberal, then Negros would get together and solve our own problems. I only cite these things to show you that in America, the history of the white liberal has been nothing but a series of trickery designed to make Negros think that the white liberal was going to solve our problems. Our problems will never be solved by the white man."

Poor Diane.

The downstream pollution that results from the batteries and other materials in the power train of electric vehicles is or should be a very large concern. While technology is improving, the disposal of batteries has the potential for long term environmental problems. Not to mention that making a lithium-ion battery is an energy-intensive manufacturing process as well. Often this energy comes from carbon-emitting sources. An electric car needs a massive amount of lithium; the battery pack in a Tesla Model S needs 140 pounds of lithium, the amount in 10,000 cell phones. China is a main source of lithium and lithium processing. Without an intensive and expensive recycling effort the problem compounds.....pollution and more dependency on China. EV's may have place in transportation going forward......but they are not currently environmentally friendly.

Selective outrage is occurring in the United States as we type. When Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Minneapolis, Kenosha, St. Louis, New York City, Richmond, and DC were being burned, vandalized and looted by demonstrators, where was the righteous indignation? Where were the masses (not just one or two), talking about how terrible politically-based violence is? They were absent. The news media made excuses and called it "mostly peaceful" protesting. Political leaders (mainly Democrats) excused the behavior because they believed it would help their political ambitions. But now, when the same behavior (and it is the same) comes from some members of an opposing political viewpoint, suddenly there is widespread outrage about how terrible it is. Unlawful behavior was condoned during the summer and it should not have been. The double standard is obvious and does not promote a unifying message.

Here in the Bahamas, there is also a double standard and selective outrage. We are not immune from division.
