Pretty sensible article. It's true. We can become more independent, but we (collectively) must be willing to expend disciplined energy and hard work to do so. And, there is no harm forming equitable alliances with good partners along the way.
This is not hard too hard to understand. Contract language places responsibility and obligations on the all of the contract participants. Default on the T&C's matter. Legal action may eventually resolve the contractual issues, but force majeure allows a party to suspend or terminate the performance of its obligations when certain circumstances beyond their control arise, making performance inadvisable, commercially impracticable, illegal, or impossible.
Unfortunately, the Bahamian government appears to have allowed itself to be placed in a strategic disadvantage.
Another warning about the "abyss" from the United Nations concerning the imminent threat of climate change. Same story from long, long, ago by the Associated Press.
Just an observation from a person who visits the States frequently. If the US is so bad for persons of color or for that matter anyone else, why are thousands of people of color making their way to its borders trying to enter the country illegally every day of the week? Why are are there thousands more waiting to be processed legally? Why do many people of all colors travel there for medical procedures that could be done in their home country?
Ask yourself why and then ask again. Its not hard to answer if you are an honest objective thinker. But if you are a BLM follower looking for a hand out you might have trouble.
These thugs are running the streets of New Providence every single day and have been for a number years. They routinely engage one another for the purpose of establishing respect and/or revenge. Meanwhile, we law abiding citizens are living behind barred windows and doors, without the ability to move about safely. Unfortunately, the situation isn't going to improve, and we are left to wonder what is next. The police can't protect us and we are not allowed to protect ourselves. So as we travel around we see the results, a decaying city, theft and crime everywhere, citizens who fear for life and property, and no light at the end of the tunnel. Our shores are overrun by illegal aliens who care nothing about others.
Our laws must be enforced without hesitation, bail or any early release.

The real perpetrators and instigators of the attack on the US Capitol are the Democrat Socialists who stood by, encouraged and cheered on nearly six months of violent riots throughout the United States by the Black Lives Matter organization. In doing so, they legitimized violent protests. Vice President Harris even went so far as to encourage her followers to supply bail money for the arrested "peaceful protesters".
The double standard is the Democrat Socialists favorite weapon and when their own words are used against them they cry insurrection and extremism. LOL!! The article linked in this post features the words of Democrat Socialist Congresswoman Maxine Waters, with the name Trump replaced with the name Cuomo and the tweets written by outraged Democrats is all the evidence needed to see how the virtuous do-gooders respond. When questioned about their tweets, suddenly the tweets were deleted.
