He said: “. . . an employer does not have the right to demand to see the results of an employee’s COVID-19 test without the employee’s expressed written consent. However, the employer can request a letter from the Minister of Health that verifies that the employee has been cleared to return to work.

What's the difference ????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If cleared to return to work then obviously Covid test was negative

if not cleared then obviously Covid test was positive (and/or still shedding)

In either case - the employer knows ya business. What a useless statement to make.

Everyone know employees in the Bahamas have no rights. This is simply because there are so many people begging for jobs, employers know that Bahamians will do anything for a piece of a job, they can get them to jump through any hoops. If you wanna know what Bahamians will do for a job - then go to some of the fast food restaurants and eat ya food inside, near to the counter. Listen to what those employees have to swallow from their supervisors and the customers. Customers treat the like dirt many times a day and all the supervisors say is "We have to serve the customer." Really? So we got Independence for what? Just because someone is a customer does not give them the right to be a "jack". Oh wait, sorry, in the Bahamas it does.

Bahamians = No Jobs, No work permits & therefore no land. Kiss boongie to keep job and then give that money to your landlord. (Oh yeah, and don't forget at night you must breed so the massa can have new slaves to replace you when you die).

Exactly. I wonder if Minnis can now be assured of reelection? All he has to do is follow the new play book - don't allow observers from any opposition Party to see the ballots when they are taken out of the box. Observers who "are in the room" but can't see - opens up a whole new realm of possibilities. Look toward a viral spread of dictatorship around the world (and that's no coincidence). Pun intended.

Yes, the "convenience" of online stuff. Self checkout counters increasing in the usa, creating unemployment. Online payments using your cell phone. Online everything. Increase in robotics. Incredibly convenient. Who wants to bother with cash? Kids coming out of school today can't even count cash.

At the end of the world, when the question is asked - why did humanity fail and die out? The answer will be clear. It was just so incredibly "convenient".

Around about 1987, the Bahamas Government decided to "Bahamianize" the teaching profession. They refused to renew work permits for all of the teachers in Grand Bahama that were from Australia, New Zealand, England, Canada etc. When the new school year rolled around, students were met by teachers from Guyana, Jamaica, and other southern Caribbean nations. One wondered where all the new Bahamian teachers were.

Essentially what happened was, all the white people were sent away. When Syntex chemical plant closed later on, essentially what happened was all the white people were sent away. When Laker airlines stopped coming and supplying the casino with players and the Princess Hotel closed, essentially what happened was all the white people were sent away. Laker was condemned for the high crime of painting a Bahamian Flag on its tailfin. When the government starting sinking its claws more and more into the running of Freeport instead of allowing the GB Port Authority (owned by white people from England) to do their job, essentially what happened was all the white people were sent away. When VAT was applied to Freeport without regard to the Hawksbill Creek Agreement (designed by a white man), the final nails started to be put in the coffin.

Now, all the wonderful structures that you named which require money to maintain have been crumbling for years. The death of Freeport as prophesied by a famous leader who said he refused to have "a country within a country" should be no surprise. The island was beginning (in the 1970s) to look more and more like Ft. Lauderdale (like a white people place) and so it had to be destroyed.

You, the writer, are looking at these economic problems as if they are a bad thing. I wonder if the government agrees with you? As you read many comments on Facebook these days you kinda get the feeling that the general view of the population is "Less white people, more happiness." Do not assume the people are unhappy. Don't assume what their values are.

Now with the almost certain election of Biden/Harris in the USA, you can look forward to the same tactics coming into play there. The "squad" of 4 now has 7 members with the addtion of Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, and Mondaire Jones. You will begin to see the same destruction of Freeport begin to play out all the across the USA - and it will happen MUCH faster than it did here. Following that, will be the world's downfall led by France and Germany. The general feeling seems to be that once the white man is eliminated completely, then the entire world can be happy.

Heck, even whites want to eliminate whites, as made clear in the following article:

Yes, maybe we Bahamians should go down to Venezuela and start drilling oil and shipping it out - and when they complain just tell them "Everybody wants something for nothing. Don't you guys realize your oil is worthless? Please stop making noise over a silly distraction."

And so what is your explanation for the secrecy with the contracts and money figures? If it is just cheap garbage as you suggest, why not just release the invoices and wire transfers and contracts to prove it ? Could this be another reason that we remain on EU blacklists? If so, I wonder why the EU won't help us out and reveal that they are concerned with the tens of millions being wired related to this? The more they cover up - the more people will have an interest.

The idea of full online sales in very very stupid. I hardly like to use that word - but "stupid" is the only thing that suites here. If everything is online, then where the salespeople going to work? If tons of people are out of work, then who is going to buy the stuff? You can't buy without money.

Whenever I go to Target or Publix etc in the USA, I never use the self checkout - even if I have to stand in line for an hour. Why? Because one of those cashiers who lost her job to an auto-checkout counter may have been hoping to take a vacation to the Bahamas when she got vacation and she may have bought something from my store. Now she cannot, because of all the STUPID people in the self checkout lines.

I don't know which garbage dumpster Mr. Parker has been "advocating" behind, but I am a very very very avid follower of the news, and I do not recall hearing a squeak out the Chamber to voice any inkling off opposition to anything coming from the "competent" authority. I would suggest any course entitled Marketing 101 from any college or education institute, even the worse one out there would be an improvement. Heck, fire up a Youtube video on the subject. Boom.
