You should add point 5). The contagious spread of Belly-Swell-Itis around this country. The people are breeding faster than the government can make provisions for their welfare. Also, we still waiting on that radar in Inagua, from "that time." Even if Bahamians slow down on breeding, the southerners race in to fill the gaps. I'm hearing that is happening now more than ever. Wages will remain LOW when employers have the ability to pick choose & refuse. The church likes the word "abstinence", but it is time for them to expand their vocabulary, and it is way past time that the government make a specific law against not hiring illegals instead of relying on the "harbouring" clause.
This is a pile of foolishness to make the OECD happy. It is disguised as trying to deal with tax evasion in the Bahamas. It is not. It is dealing with tax evasion in Europe.
We know about some foreigners avoiding property and hotel taxes here, and we could simply enforce the law ..... but no .... let's' create another piece of garbage with two dozen people filling out forms all day, leading to nothing.
The Bahamas needs to give ALL Europeans 5 years to sell and vacate the Bahamas, and say by June no more flights allowed from Europe or anyone with EU passport (except for UK cause Queen is head of state).
The benefits of a relationship with Europe FAR outweigh the pain in the neck.
Did you say "killing" ????????????? I thought people were only dying from the virus these days. Wear ya mask and shut up and starve like everyone else. Oh, and keep ya child home from school when they find ONE virus case too. Let's see if we can get that D- average down to a F-
Who does have the best interest at heart for the young man in Bain Town with no job, no education, and no hope? His teenage mother? His absent father? His "looking to fill the pews" pastor? His "I gah lock you up and give you lifetime police record" local police officer? His "please tief some money and buy me something nice" girlfriend?
Oh, my bad, I didn't realize all his problems are caused by the white man in Lyford Cay. Apologies.
Everyone will get Covid. It is VERY contagious like the flu and like measles and like all kinds of other diseases that spread and our bodies deal with naturally using the powers within it given by God. Nowadays men think they are smarter than God. How many people are we going to cause to die from the lockdowns?
Maybe we need a new slogan. "Wear a brain - prevent the spread of lockdowns."
They oughta be "worried over" paying their rent. It's amazing how the word "cases" now seems to be equal to "death". Fantastic job by the US and UK media.
I'm so glad to know this man is out there dealing with hardened criminals - marijuana smokers are kidnapping children and killing them - some are even taking them to Rawson Square and beheading them right in public, with witnesses !!!! I heard that at least 400 babies have been stabbed to death in the public square by marijuana smokers just this past month. Nothing the police can do about the murders, but at least they ain't blowing smoke.
