They oughta be "worried over" paying their rent. It's amazing how the word "cases" now seems to be equal to "death". Fantastic job by the US and UK media.
I'm so glad to know this man is out there dealing with hardened criminals - marijuana smokers are kidnapping children and killing them - some are even taking them to Rawson Square and beheading them right in public, with witnesses !!!! I heard that at least 400 babies have been stabbed to death in the public square by marijuana smokers just this past month. Nothing the police can do about the murders, but at least they ain't blowing smoke.
No Bahamians visited the Passport Office in Nassau, coming from Abaco immediately after the hurricane wanting their documents replaced and were told they had to pay, after informing the clerk that they knew of the new rule to not pay?
Wonder if our leaders have enough foresight and intelligence to ask to join the Bahamas with canzuk ? Probably not. We prefer to be poor and suck teeth like our neighbors to the south.
It's easy to oppose things, when the decision/authority related to that thing is not in your ballpark.
When he had the power, Brave opposed meetings of the PAC (public accounts committee) and he also failed to accept PM Hubert Ingraham's proposal (after PLP complained about the rules of the House) - to submit proposals for changes to the rules of the house and Ingraham found in place when they came to power.
The modus operandi on both sides is to take advantage of the inequality when they are in power (but don't change it), and then complain about it when they are out of power. This has happened numerous times now because we just keep swapping them every 5 years. They need to get swapped every 2 years (but some people think that's radical, and that it is less radical that citizens starve to death).
Anyway, the starving to death procedure has begun. Any recommendations for changes to the rules of the house Mr. Davis? Any thoughts of whether or not the Speaker should have the use of a toilet?
Maybe an alien race from another planet will come here and use their advanced technology to produce 8 billion jail cells in a matter of minutes - and place each individual human being into their own jail cell, and ensure the cells are located 6 feet apart. Lock the doors with a permanent welding, and then leave and go back to their planet.
“The government will begin next year, the expunging of records of those convicted for the possession of small amounts of marijuana."
Next year? Next year? Why don't you outlaw the import of toilet paper and make it illegal to be in possession of toilet paper until next year. This will allow the Bahamian people to have at least some small amount of empathy with the so-called law breakers.
It seems like people are being taught that stupidity is a good thing. What will happen when the masses start to engage in stupidity on a large scale because they simply know no other way? All the stupid, all the time - yeah - great. Unbelievable.
These lofty ideas have no chance of being implemented, let along achieve success, in a country in which the Speaker of the House of Assembly does not have a toilet, and cannot buy a set of refills for his stapler without permission from the Cabinet.
Our problems are not big. Our problems are a whole bunch of small ones, which add up to disaster.
My suggestion is that the government give the police the authority to simply shoot people and put them out of their misery. A person could be stopped on the street, given a test and if found to be negative then the police could shoot them. In that way the person will not die of Covid.
Any and all steps necessary have been stated to be needed and that should be allowed in order "to just prevent one death from this virus". My suggestion would prevent many deaths from the virus. Of course, they would die, but not from the virus. We have lots of people dying from lack of cancer and kidney treatments and being too afraid to go to the hospital when they have chest pain etc. Their deaths seem to not be important. Our children are not learning to identify emotional facial expressions as they are learning in that stage of life. So death and harm are clearly not the concern here.
The concern is that "people do not die from Covid" and my suggestion would solve that - if it receives government approval of course.
I gah get one long long power cord and run my fridge up to the North Pole. I gonna fill up all my ice trays and as soon as they ready, dump them out on the ground and fill em up with water again.
In this way, I will replenish the ice and glaciers dem up dere, real quick.
Yinna stop worrying, I on the case. I ga catch the early bird in the morning.
