Those who think "it does not matter" whether China or the U.S. is supreme is very likely not old enough to understand what threat faced the world in World War 2. They have never stood in a food line in Russia to get a loaf of bread. They have never spent one hour in a Chinese prison. They have never watched a family member die in Venezuela because the pharmacy ran out of medication. They believe in unicorns and the Easter Bunny, just like China wants them to until they are painted into a corner and cannot escape. Then they will get properly introduced to the Chinese Communist Party and their view that freedom "does not matter."

Mr. Plummer I have read your writings for years, and respect you as a social activist - but please do not let China pull the wool over your eyes. There is no greater threat to freedom on this planet right now than China. Every penny that finds its way through trade (you, for example buying a couple of egg rolls or a pepper steak) will be converted and leveraged into a terrible weapon against your very existence. Those egg rolls are infinitely more expensive than they appear.

Trump will win without any doubt. Americans have seen over the past 3 1/2 years all of things he has pointed out that have shown how their country was being destroyed by the liberal left. They have seen all of the foolish hearings - hearing after hearing - that accomplished nothing and proved nothing - but more importantly caused the Democrats not to accomplish anything. They have nothing they can point to as an achievement.

Trump on the other hand has a number of things he can point to as be done, and a lot more he can point to as not done but show clearly how the Democrats prevented it from getting done.

Now add their absolute love and praise and worship of the Corona Virus, along with their placing on a pedestal those who are literally burning and destroying cities (much more of that is going on than is being reported by the way). Tearing down monuments of Lincoln and others who have done so much for the black race in America (which is just stupid), and in effect creating new monuments to those who wish to destroy it.

The country of Ghana in Africa has publicly stated (just a couple weeks ago) that any African Americans who wish to return home are welcome to do so. They will be greeted and assisted in relocating. They are serious. It is an option for the looters to consider since they feel that the USA does not want them.

On that point they could not be further from the truth. The guy from BET is a billionaire and there are dozens of millionaires (not just from the sports world) who are black. Many entertainers that are loved by all races, Congressmen and women, mayors, generals, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and so on, even a President who was a person of colour.

There is nothing standing in the way of the success of so-called "African" Americans in the USA, if anything they have an advantage over many due to specialist scholarships for study and "fair" hiring practices.

I wonder how many actual Africans would be willing to swap places with "African" Americans today, right now, this minute? Tens of millions I am sure.

Trump has worked tirelessly to help ALL Americans, and will win the election hands down and reclaim the House as well. Nancy needs to start working on a catchy name brand for her new ice cream parlour.

I agree. Too many times the U.S. seems to be reactive rather than proactive on so many fronts and concerns. Hopefully they will have the vision to see the long term potential ramifications of this deal. China has been at war with the west for decades. One country seems to finally be taking it seriously - India - https://www.breitbart.com/national-secu…

Exactly 100% correct. How did this billionaire become a billionaire? Are there any connections whatsoever between any of his holdings and the Chinese Communist Party directly or indirectly or anything at all to do with China?

We truly and seriously need to stop this nonsense of giving away our land for these pie in the sky offers. Never forget how NOBODY was able to do a head count of workers at The Pointe. All kinda people went down there to "inspect" but came away more clueless than before they went.

The greatest point here also is that Bahamians have been begging since independence to get a piece of our land (that we supposedly now own from the Queen) - and are 90% of the time told "NO". Stupid Bahamian, too bad for you, go the the bank and make mortgage !!!! This has to stop.

Good point, but then this rewards poor families who have many children they cannot afford. Some day we need to get serious about family planning in this country. If you are planning to go on a long drive, you usually fill up your gas tank (or as best you can), check the oil and tire pressure etc. - but if you are planning to have a child the only thing you have to do is not wear a condom.

You would think it would require more planning. We also need to watch out for them back seat car rides.

I think it is important not to complicate this issue with AUTEC. They have been there long time. This is a SIMPLE issue of the government "giving away" (at least as far as what we the people will get) our land and our resources (for some reason they are doing this, can anyone guess?)

China will not stop until their flag is raised in Rawson Square. We can wait to see it, or you can start to pay attention to who you are giving your hard earned $1.75 to. Who are you giving your $8.50 to in the shop? When you go to the USA, do you shop at the big place whose name starts with W but really should start with C ? It is so convenient. The prices are so good. Just the way that cheese looks to a rat as he approaches the rat trap. That cheese look good eh? Muddo.

I think travelers should also be required to hop up and down on one foot while patting the top of their head with one hand, while the other hand is held on their nose. If they can do this for 15 seconds (without falling) then they are likely in good health. Other less stringent requirements can be devised for the physically impaired.

Hopefully govt will ensure that food lines remain functioning for those who cannot afford to buy food. That medicine is available free for those who qualify. Also help with rental payments. At the same time it is necessary to not make the same mistake as the U.S., which has made it better for their citizens to stay home than to go to work.

Being unemployed should cause a hardship - but not force people to sleep on the streets and go hungry.

Government has VAT now to replace the income to the Treasury that Freeport used to provide. Govt killed Freeport in the late 90's and both Parties in succession have done nothing to help. Why do we still have a blocked road here between Princess Towers and Princess Country Club?

That blocked road is the very symbol of blockages over so many years in Freeport. I had hoped Dr. Minnis could have cleared this arterial blockage in the heart of Freeport, but that's cause I forgot his specialty was examining ... (darn, I forgot again).

As long as Trump does not plan to hold a rally here, the virus will not make an advanced appearance. Very smart virus it is. Already moved to Tulsa, and making an advanced appearance in Jacksonville ahead of the convention. Genetic engineering has come a long way since the 80s.
