"We obviously do not have manpower which is required to undertake such an exercise."
Really Mr. Mitchell ??? There are LOTS of Haitian males residing here that we can ship down there with some M16s and they can get to work bringing freedom to their brothers and sisters.
Upon seeing the headline, I thought this was another "Hope & Promise" being given to Freeport. We don't need anymore here. We are chock full of hopes and dreams and promises.
But then, it became clear this was another proposed Nassau investment.
It wouldn't have mattered - because Freeport wouldn't have gotten it even if he did intend to open it here.
“But we’re working with that,” the minister added, “and we’re now talking about expanding our scope in the recruitment of teachers and so those issues are being addressed … but wherever we know there is any form of deficit, we have sought to fill them through the virtual school which is not ideal … but it’s a stop gap measure while we ensure that we get teachers there.”
What rock do these people live under? Nobody wants to teach in Habaco because you need to speak two languages. When persons are taken off the boat by Immigration, they should be asked if they were a teacher back home - and if yes, then shipped immediately to Habaco and somebody put a chalk in their hand. Problem solved.
Father's Day cards and Mother's Day cards should be against the law in the Bahamas - Customs should prosecute and ship, plane, or person in possession of one when entering the country.
People in Germany are educated and hardworking. Maybe we should invite 50,000 of them to come here and give them work permits and free land to build on. Since we are "uneducated and lazy". Good idea? What do you think?
Mr. Pintard, respectfully sir, we don't need a committee. There has been enough talks on these matters since Roker's time.
We simply need to enforce the laws already on the books.
You guys did not enforce them last time you were in, and the New Day government is not enforcing them either, and neither did they 2 times ago when they were in.
Enforce the law. Very simple. I get a ticket if a police sees me roll through a red light. why??? why do i get a ticket? Can't I just give him an excuse and go about my business?

Ms Pope, will you kindly write your home address in any future articles and invite all migranta to come and stay at your house?
Im going to startup a GoFundMe now to raise funds to assist with their transportation.
Im confident you will treat all 700 million of them humanely. How big is your fridge, by the way?
