Can't have functional fire trucks in a dysfunctional society. People still gah vote PLP and FNM next time. Nothing - absolutely nothing - will change their mind.
I am reminded of the writing on the side of the cream can - "produced from contented cows." That is basically what Bahamians are, contented cows. We have seen for well over 40 years a long long long list of problems that continue to grow and get worse. I will not waste space here listing them - since people do not really care about problems anyway - but just one recent example of Bahamian nurses not being paid or confirmed/vetted in their jobs, meanwhile nurses from Ghana can somehow seem to be vetted and all hired up in no time with no problems at all. Bahamians have been beaten down so badly over the decades that they now believe that the current situation is just "normal." Increase in suicides? Who cares?
Your prediction, however, is not correct. The FNM will win the next election, because now it is "their turn." The COI we hear "promises dreams", but Bahamians are quite content with their daily nightmares. Children having a good education and not having to beg with fake "sponsor" papers in order to get money to buy food? We can't have that. We like for our children to be beggars, that's just our culture.
Sorry Lincoln, but most Bahamians are just as happy as "contented cows" and equally as smart. We have a tourism economy but ALL major hotels are owned by foreigners - that don't sound right - but nobody ain't checkin. Princess Hotel got a major road closed in Freeport so that their hotel could get better - they been closed for YEARS and that road can't re-open. But, cows can only say "Moo". No more Laker flights to the closed down casino (plus Ingraham shut the one in Lucaya) - who cares? It's Pintard's turn. Shut up and vote for his people, or you could vote for Brave dem. Everyone knows what he was doing up in Abaco a few weeks ago with a quick "personal" trip, but who cares? Many will vote for dem set.
Correct. And the March deadline has long passed for MPs to file their net worth etc report, but no consequences of course. Yet, we expect consequences for unregistered gang members?
So, in other words, no information is provided to explain why ordinary Bahamians are getting the heck out of Dodge. Of course to say so would be too embarrassing for a so-called "paradise" where there is an increase in suicide.
