Guess that's the only way some people can afford to leave this "paradise" ?

If i rob a bank and return 90% of the money will that be OK??? Of course not. The issue here is that peasants are not entitled to this information and every 5 years Bahamians vote to have their peasant status extended (like a water plant agreement) for another 5 years.

Bahamians don't seem to understand that it doesn't matter if you don't vote. Only votes are counted at the end of election day. If only 6 people vote in a constituency and George gets 3, Harry gets 2, and Tom gets 1, THEN George wins because he got the most votes in that constituency. The Constitution does not speak to the 12794 other people in that 12800 population constituency that didn't vote. It merely says they now have GEORGE for their MP. Stay home and let other people decide for you. That's your non-choice choice. If you don't like COI then spend your money on good tires for the potholes and shut ya mout.

The articles states " noting that former MP Neko Grant held it for multiple terms..." So the people of Central GB want to keep voting FNM after seeing with their own eyes to SEVERE downfall of GB since 1992, and how both the PLP and FNM want to place blame on that downfall on the very people who made GB great up until about 1984 ? Seriously? The people will choose to vote for Barabbas instead of Jesus, again? Poor COI. Bahamians just love it when things suck. They will vote for more abuse. 50 years is not enough.

Freeport is owned by China. Too late for that thought. Successive governments have sold various parts of the Bahamas to keep VAT at 10% instead of 20% for fear of losing an election. Silly thought. They could make VAT 50% and Bahamians would still vote for them.

Birdie, it's no surprise that you would defend our government in any event LOL. Where's Tal? He should be here ringing a cowbell too. The Bahamas does not manufacture salt for human consumption from Inagua to the family table. It is exported. Why? Why can't we even make a toothpick in this country? Don't worry. We don't export anything except our money and Bahamians LOVE paying high taxes anyway, so it don't matter. BPL fuel surcharge, land conveyance, gas & diesel tax, import duties, VAT, and VAT on duty, we just love that stuff and will vote PLP or FNM next time or stay home. That's just how we go.

All good points, but the passports that Trump is worried about have already been issued and many more will be issued before election day. 3rd generation Bahamians will be outvoted this time. They kept voting for these two parties long past their expiration date and now it's time to see the results.

Two plus two equals four everywhere in the world except the Bahamas.

Nothing will happen. Bahamians love potholes and broken skules and cheap labour. They will vote the same way they have done the last 50 years. PLPs who are upset with government will stay home and not vote because they know their ballots are numbered.

The Government should charge every tourist, even those that come on regular airlines, a $50,000 Visitor's Fee in order to set foot in the Bahamas. Yeah, that's a great idea. Oh yeah. LOL. OR they could be given the option to just pay $25,000 at their travel agent in the USA and not have to come at all, and save a lot of stress.
