what does an accounting firm know about operating a electrical generating plant. How could they possibly know more than the people working there? They are not stupid they just are not being asked. What could a bunch of accountants know about the plant as opposed to the engineers at BEC?

Leslie, is all of the above, potcake, unreasonable, arrogant and the rest, but he does do his job well. The residents of the Bahamas need to do due diligence and 'we will be straight" Make sure he has paid his outstanding balance to BEC and he gets shut off just like anyone else for an overdue account. Expose him when he acts unbecoming for his buddies and we are on the way to making them all accountable. So far a good job was done with making him and others who did not pay their property taxes and the like accountable!!. They all need to be tackled one by one. Lets make our voices/concerns be known and then we will be heard and taken seriously. We can affect change.

Very well put Bahamianpride. But who will do it and when? Where do we start. Trust me its not that hard, implement and enforce rules and laws.. is a great place to start.. But be fair. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. But, because the fish stinks at the top, naturally, the bottom follows. Sad, Sad Sad. Tourism will decrease and Residents who want better will leave....soonest. This has nothing to do with politics, they have all failed the Bahamian people.

This senseless killings and if the powers to be are serious, they can curb it. There are so many ways, but it call for honesty and integrity of those in charge. On a further note, too many government vehicles are being used as pleasure transportation, jitney and the like after hours. Just a small change that should be implemented immediately. Are you not tired of paying for the gas, wear and tear etc?. They could start with changing that, but someone else here already said its not a big deal. In the scheme of things its not, but it can affect a mindset that leads to positive change. No one especially in that position should be so entitled.

The numbers will continue to grow. Reckless driving, no respect for other road users, selling/buy licenses to people period but especially those who cant drive. Driving under the influence, Just plane lack of respect.
