Why would anybody in their right mind consider investing in a country run by self serving fools. Funny how foreign money ,help etc is so welcome for all the self help projects in the country as long as the donors have no comments, then you are a foreigner.

what idiots start a venture like this without putting in place (a) a tentative schedule and (b) and budget. the amount of cash available determines what you do--------simple.

Try Central Eleuthera with the "so called" improvement using reverse osmosis. Low pressure and no water for the last three days. 20 years ago it was more reliable. Usual case just like the new clinics, all show but no thought into stocking spare parts or regular maintenance.

Any event of this magnitude requires a precise budget to be decided months in advance or how else can you apportion the funds to different sectors of the Carnival. Politicians should never be in charge of any business venture that involves making a profit, they just don't care when it comes down to the finer points.

Just typical, corruption in the post office, and as usual taking action after the fact,just like BAMSI, Bahamar and so on ---------NO accounting ,no supervision. and then the s - - t hits the fan and senior officials decide they must do something. No wonder the cost of living is so high for honest working folks.

Yes a 100% increase and as always from school tuck shops to funds raisers to Government entities there is a total reluctance to account for expenditure and income. However here on Eleuthera 1 dozen standard eggs has jumped from under three dollars to over $4,00 , cement from $12 + to $15 ,once again increases by huge increments. Common complaint recently from visitors as to how expensive it is and how do people afford to live here.
