Comment by a wealthy long time foreign resident. " every year they make it more and more difficult to live here". Comment #2 I paid my land taxes but the cheque lay un deposited on a governnent employees desk. Bottom line I can't license my car. What a cluster f_ _ k. Someone in power do something.n Winter residents and prospective investors are at the end of their patience.
How the hell can this fat idiot blame this government when they hired thousands just before the election. There are 52 weekers working in one government facility who do absolutely nothing except look at their phones and dash for lunch. Brave Davies nobody wants unemployment but how can you hire unqualified persons for positions that don't exist and expect their wages to come from the magic money tree. This country is deep in debt because of the cronyism, and GROSS incompetance of the PLP and you still don't get it. Go away.
It always facinates me how members of Parliarment obviously read and hear these woes yet refuse to take quick and decisive action. Smacks of a sinking ship wher rapid action could save the day but instead wait until the ship is nearly submerged to do something. Common Brent just come to Eleuthera and see how many foerigners are selling up.
Firstly many are legally here and secondly that doesn`t answer the question why so many young people prefer to wait for a cushy office or government job and find cutting grass or yard work beneath them
Funny on Eleuthera every morning there are Hatiens going to work and one can see some Bahamians who stay by the bar all day drinking. There is work if you want it.
When we had chickens produced in Nassau ( abaco chickens exclued) they were about the size of a cornish hen. What a rip off food prices are in general. My wife recently saw a SMALL cauliflower for sale in Eleuthera for $11.00 Thats beyond crazy.
Smacks of BUT travels around the world with no meaningful result. I can buy 6 s/h japanese cars for the price of on new import. Quality is perfect and I should know having owned one for over 5 years.
