Many good points but as a long serving teacher in one of our High Schools , I and several others refused to go into the dark hall with booming music (all in the guise of fun/fund raising day) because there is a difference in sensual dancing and what amounts to sex with clothes on on the dance floor made all the worse by believe it or not young Bahamian female teachers cheering on this behavior. Then the same teachers in the cold light of day in a normal classroom setting suddenly get all moral and critical of the girls for a slight uniform infringement such as a skirt a little shorter than normal. I am not a prude for one moment but condoning this behavior in schools only gives consent .

Advance the average Bahamian -UMM!. If that's true then it is at huge financial cost. Birdie study arithmetic and maybe you will understand how the
he VAT money was wasted, lowest bid contracts were ignored, millions missing, and borrowing more than the country could afford. Oh does your advancing the average Bahamian include outdated power plants running on expensive fuel, potholed roads, run down clinics, lack of basic medication, lying on a gurney in PMH for hours if not days, Expensive basic food items, double taxation. Yep I feel very advanced ????????

I think a law should be passed that all eligible voters are required to study basic arithmetic so they might have a slight understanding of how perilous a financially state the PLP left the country in.

Of course he says that having led a corrupt, inefficient, patronizing government, who would want their countless faults aired in public. Wake up Mr Christie, the public especially the younger generation are wise to the goings on.

birdie, i can only imagine that you are stuck in a time warp. Some of what you say is true in the past but face reality the recent PLP government was corrupt, inefficient, and has brought this country to the point of bankruptcy . The middle class that you so proudly mention hardly exists faced with substantial taxes and little to show for it. Being a proud Bahamian is nothing to do with being PLP or FNM .

I would be embarrased to be seen at this convention and being associated with corruption and bankrupting a country. Any PLP supporters must be brain dead to believebthat brave Davies if elected as leader will do anything different apart from reek total financial destruction whilst feathering his and his own cronies with benefits. Maybe these idiots at the convention need to study basic, basic arithmetic to see how much financial trouble Christie and his cronies have wrought.
