So very true its not only the building but some of the staff are downright lazy and some are dishonest. Waste of time ordering practical mechanics or National Geographic or any other periodical as it gets stolen and never reaches. I once had an annual subscription to an international newspaper. Got one edition then nothing. Newspaper company traced every issue arriving in Nassau. So where did it go. Absolute bloody disgrace.
Hate to say it but the economy is Bankrupt and things will get worse before they get better. The Christie administration would be in jail if they had been managing a private company. They continued on a path that they knew would end in disaster so it is even more perplexing why they would like to be re-elected knowing the ultimate looming fiscal crisis.
Very true but so many ignorant Bahamians think there is a magic money tree growing somewhere and have an I'm alright jack attitude. The drug days of free flowing dollars are over yet many Bahamians spend up to the hilt on non essentials. I think that even die hard PLP's are getting worried.
Try Eleuthera, where clinics have 52 week employees doing little or nothing, or extra security and and janitors in the schools, or hundreds of thousands spent on ripping a huge hill before foundations can even start for the dreamland hospital. Why hire Cuban teachers when there are trained unemployed Bahamians teachers. Why not retrain or take qualified Bahamians in the community for teaching ? The last administration only wanted to keep their cushy jobs and crooked contracts and now everyone will pay the price. How Brave Davies has the absolute balls to even consider leadership of the PLP when he is as inefficient and self serving as the rest is beyond belief.
Instead of constant criticism give the Police credit for doing what is a very difficult job. Lets face it all the armchair detectives are criticizing how long it took for the shot security guard at the Mandalay and the police to react. Easy to be an expert when not faced with unexpected and rapid situations.
"rebuild and renew". Add the work greed and corruption. The old PLP is corrupt to the core and these old men need to get out especially when he still thinks there needs to be no bidding for contracts and contracts should be awarded to party faithful only.
