If the Exuma "hospital" is not open and cost 14 million why has a huge area of land been purchased at great expense from a prominent local citizen and cleared at vast expense for another so called "mini hospital " in Palmetto Point ,Eleuthera ?
Mr Bodie unfortunately you are right that MR Minnis has destroyed a credible opposition but don't you realise that all the political posturing and loyalty means diddly squat in the real world of finance. If the average citizen ran their financial lives like this government not only would we have debt that we cannot repay but would be borrowing and spending even more. The PLP has no plans and cannot pay off the national debt as it continues to come out with new schemes. I wonder how you will feel after the next downgrading, increased VAT and possible devaluation that Christie cannot have any control over.
Of course growth is sluggish ,simple reasoning tells you that all the taxes imposed upon the public mean less spare cash for investment and spending. Unfortunately a further downgrading is inevitable, higher VAT and devaluation very possible and still the Government will blame everybody else for their own failures. I can tell you now Mr Christie people are struggling to eat decent food, pay their bills and survive unlike yourself and cabinet who live in an alternative universe.
Has it ever entered their tiny minds that however hard you want something that the time has come to stop many projects, reduce the size of a bloated civil service and make departments accountable for losses. Watch out VAT will go up once the PLP gets back in. The Bahamas is fast pricing itself out of the holiday market.
All of you who will vote PLP and were in awe of your politicians at the recent convention watch out when they return to office and raise VAT . Mind you Loretta and Minnis have done an admirable job of destroying the opposition .
Visitors complain frequently that cost of the Bahamian product is poor value and I bet that VAT will go up after these incompetents are re-elected. This will pay for all the extra hires and expenses incurred to please these individuals who will vote PLP soon.
One can only hope that independents hold the balance of power after the next election because Minnis can't even decide on a full slate of FNM candidates up to now.

Not a PLP supporter but Christie makes Minnis look like a rank amateur. Minnis has given this election away along with Butler. Sad but true.
