Just unbelievable, it is the same as a married couple being deep in debt and about to loose their house when he gets a substantial pay raise. Pay of the mortgage debt----Hell no ,lets go and buy a big screen TV, expensive clothes and holiday. By the way the clinic in Exuma (sorry hospital) was completed sometime ago and never opened. How about gas prices where you pay tax (VAT) on a product already taxed. PLP supporters are so gullible you could sell them a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
My God, Dr Minnis couldn't do a better job of destroying the opposition if he had help. Here on Eleuthera they still haven't nominated a FNM candidate for central and south. Is this man an idiot because if Christie calls an election in 6 weeks or so FNM candidates will have had no time to drum up support. Not only has Minnis split the party at this critical time but if he can't even ratify a full slate of candidates then how the hell could he ever put a working government together ?
Most common complaint of tourists existing Nassau--high prices. This government is so inept with all the money they are taking out of the economy that little room is left for merchants to redu ce prices or invest. Just look at the "so called" environmental tax where old appliances batteries etc are just put on the dump. Just have a sign at customs "we want money here is an extra tax".
Whatever the issue of marital rape the comment made by Mr Moncur regarding hopping on top of his wife anytime he liked is unbecoming of a senator and I would think highly embarrassing for his wife. How can we expect better of the youth today when we have comments like this made by persons in important and visible public positions. He degrades all women married or not with his comments.
How often do we ever see savings passed on to the consumer. Crude oil prices have been at an all time low for years but have mailboat fees gone down -NO, have grocery pierces been reduced -NO. Rather like gasoline prices that go up the instant that oil prices rise but never go down at the same speed when oil prices drop.
All you say is true except that Eleuthera has one doctor down south who covers the whole island. The truth is that persons in the MOH don't give a rats backside for the residents when you consider that central had a very good doctor willing to stay but did not have his contract renewed. Now which idiot in the MOH terminates an established hard working doctor but has no one to replace him. Despite a lack of basic drugs, regular supplies of oxygen thousands of dollars have been spent clearing land for the so called "min hospital". As Exuma and Abaco mini hospitals have never opened and areas of PMH are closed due to lack of qualified staff one has to ask how Eleuthera will ever build, open and staff what at the end of the day will be a clinic at best.

Much easier said than done. Bear in mind how many of the public know who these criminals are and protect them.
