Bradley Roberts would be better running for office in Cuba where dissent is frowned upon and would fit in perfectly with his ignorant and blind devotion to a corrupt government.
Interesting the subtle brainwashing that goes on just before elections. Years ago it was repeated showing of "roots" now we have ZNS showing the road to Independence with dramatic music every night around 7.15pm. Coincidence -I think not. Lets reinforce the grass roots populace that the white man/Bahamian is demonic, racist and just plain not wanted (except for their cash).
You have to give him credit for sheer balls when he doesn't pay his electricity bills but then has the sheer audacity to demand that others cannot express displeasure in a political party that doesn't have the ability to fairly and competently run this small country of ours.
On Eleuthera, tourist arrivals are seriously down and one regular visitor said that all she ever hears at Nassau airport by departing tourists is how expensive everything is and how they will never come back. Someone in opposition needs to get their act together because another 5 years of Christie spells certain, downgrading, devaluation, and more poverty.
Given that the Bahamas has been and always will be at risk of hurricanes would it be remotely possible that any sane well managed government could have amassed an emergency fund by putting money away every year. The debacle of Carnival was wasted money, the money spent on the Bay Street decoration is wasted money. Multiply these and more money wasting schemes over the years and the sum of money that could have been saved is enormous.
The civil service is bloated.Go into many offices and see how many employees have absolutely nothing to do. There has to be a freeze on hiring, early retirement without replacement, stopping the practice of employing retirees and a wage freeze.
