10% VAT after the next election.More poverty, more hunger and if this government cannot keep the clinics supplied now how the hell will they fund NI. Pure political bullshit and P M lies.
The government is just an extension of the ingrained cultural philosophy of no accountability from school tuck shops to homecomings to the "I 'll check you tomorrow" method of payment.
As usual no response from the government on supplying boats and extra police but I bet funds for any of Freds overseas trips are sanctioned without delay. Third world governance.
Lack of foresight by sucessive governments to maintain and upgrade has led to this situation. Money squandered on long forgotten, non productive flash in the pan schemes could have been invested in the infrastructure of this country.
Its about time that this and future Governments realised that taxation and high prices are fuelling poverty and for all the bullshit that we hear ,the fact is that whilst most if not all politicians are financially comfortable many Bahamians are very close to the breadline and are running out of options to buy cheap food. Mr Gomez seems to be one of the only politicians who has a grasp on reality and speaks commonsense.
And this is the man who outright lied on ZNS saying school repairs were completed and now says it will be very tight to complete repairs before school opens, and therefore contracts will be hurridly given out without scruitiny .?????
