One is presumed to be innocent, until proven guilty,(by magistrate or a jury of one's peers). Here is where the solution to our problem lies. Its right there at the source. The people who are less likely to discern the truth, are the ones who determine what is the truth of a matter. Discard the 'free on bond' mess, where incarceration is on account of a serious crime. One's right to freedom must never be summed up to supersede the rights of any other person. Natural Justice must run its course, once facts have been ascertained.

This born in the Bahamas thing is so over used by too many ignorant people. They simply cannot accept that nationality in The Commonwealth Of The Bahamas does not pass to all and sundry under every physical condition. Who spread the lie that they have latched on to?

With regard to Mr. Smith, he has to demonstrate that he knows more about everything than anybody. That's just who he is; can't change that. But, nobody is obligated to follow his lead into darkness.

The psyche of the "true Bahamian" and the "True Jamaican" are like day and night, respectively in that order. Do the research, if you dare to.

To the MadHatter: This is too far above your ability. Sit small and try to decipher what's being communicated. Now take a break.

Andrew, the issue is neither how much nor how long, brother. The issue is illegal entry into any country is wrong. If you don't believe this, then try to enter any country of your choice without permission of relevant authority. Just try it, the proof of the pudding is in the eating of it. Softies don't build a country that's worth anything. Bleeding hearts are a blight on an orderly society. Your responsibility is to obey the statutory laws and the constitution of the bahamas. If you don't like them then you too can leave. Fare-well, lad.

MadHatter is both mad and dumb. In 1861 these islands were colonized by the Europeans and Freed Slaves. The French were not included, and neither were the parents of one Fred Smith, the loose, rusty cannon in GB.

This is a tall tale. When since can a 'girl' fight off two or more horny jet ski operators? Wake up to the fraud. Those 'victims' hatched that scheme to obtain money from 'the hotel'. Do you really think its more than that?

Mr. Fred Smith should have been appointed adviser to the government of Haiti to look after the repatriation matter. He could be somewhat more effective than the present Haitian ambassador to the Bahamas. Perhaps this is what he is vying for, lowly trickster. Bahamians, let us cast our votes for Mr. Smith. To Fred Smith, QC. We did that too.

Question...... if mother and father are home in Haiti, and the child is left in the Bahamas, who , except the 'guardian', files for bahamian citizenship on the young person's behalf? And what if all of the above, other than the young person, are dead?
