I would like to know who appoints all these "Bishops"? Are they self styled? Every other person in the Bahamas seems to be a "Bishop". I would not be surprised if we have a few hundred "Popes" as well.
How exactly is it bribery? I am not an apologist, think morally it was wrong thing to do, but legally there is nothing wrong that I can see. They bought the claims of some people, not others. I am sure they had very good legal advice. There is no law in the US that would prevent the purchase of a claim and not another. Had the money gone to the Government, there might be a case, but it did not. Cannot for the life of me see a legal case that might succeed.
So what? I have never had a problem with opening bank accounts. All done in 7 days: passport, utility, source of funds, etc. But then I don't have a murky past, don't run a porn website or profit from online or physical gambling and don't accept cash. Those are the guys that have problems. And they all want to bank here because they have been told to sod off by every other jurisdiction.
Too true. What were they doing Aug 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th?? What precisely were they doing to justify their enormous salaries? This is egregious dereliction of duty. I would fire every last one of them.
It would not surprise me, and I hope they do. They will get filmed doing it by the one next door. And then the police can use them for target practice. I would put cameras every 100 yards everywhere, facing every direction. Swamp this rock with 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 cameras.
For crying out loud, it is not rocket science. We live on a frigging rock 20 by 7 miles, not in Texas! Put in 10,000 face recognition cameras and hunt down the perpetrators and shoot them dead. As in: "OOps, he was resisting arrest". No one will care, throw the body to the sharks. After the 1,000th dead criminal, the rest will get the message.
"New Bpl Ceo: My Job Is To Keep The Lights On". No, it is not. Your job is to take the blame instead of a Bahamian politician when the lights come off. Not even God in all his Glory can keep the lights on with the equipment and staff BPL has.
Poor man. You can see from the expression on his face that he is really happy to be here. I hope they are paying him loads, because whatever it is, it will never be equal to the amount of shit Bahamians will pile on his plate. Daily.

We do. But the "numbers boys" cannot meet those requirements. Hence the gripe.
