They are rich enough to own many homes around the world. When the time comes, they will be off to their next one. Is this a distraction you propose? Do you not believe it? What could possibly be your point?
"Citing the latter as examples of innovation that took some time to perfect, and become what they are now, the Deltec chief added: “Anything new goes through a period of pain and adjustment, and if it’s not good it gets discarded very quickly and if it’s good, it’s going through a period of adjustment..... Personally, all banking should be a public utility. No person should make money in banking. I am not religious. Seems we have it all wrong. The bankers produce nothing, and get rich. Editor, thanks for taking the time to illustrate in no uncertain terms the need for a Kevin Evans to go to school and take critical thinking, logic and other mind-exercising classes. His assault on reason and true Christian principles often go unchallenged, due specifically to the Bahamian Christian message that knowledge is bad, and only faith has any validity. Along, of course, with his and other ignorant Christian spokespeople who couldn't think themselves out of a wet paper bag, ie. a genius named Delton. The overarching question for The Bahamas should be, "What is holding us back as a nation? What is it that keeps us from acting, year after year, like decent human beings? "Why do we perform so poorly on the Christian scale?" Murder, rape, dishonesty, poverty, environmental disregard, child abuse, political poisoning, always with hands out. I think, dear editor, you put your finger on a soft spot. Kevin thinks the gays are bringing this country down. He can't see that his egotistic, ignorant and dogmatic approach to things he doesn't understand is the basis for most problems in this country. Could God help him?
So, let me get this right. We are a democracy with the right to decide things for ourselves. For how many decades now have we chosen the path of failure, intolerance and ignorance? None seem like Christian ideals to me. Mr. Man Standing, please tell how your religion evokes the idea of gaslighting in advocating for personal choices, yet democratically elected people who have a responsibility to the people can act the way they do, not only gaslighting, but actually destroying a country? Get real. There is nothing in reality that would suggest we are a people of faith. Do you not read the papers? Yes, we are free to elect some of the most dishonest and under-performing people we can find in our society. So, yes we are a democracy, strictly speaking. Judge for yourself how we are doing. The metrics are printed daily. Personally, I'd rather hold on to the idea of tolerance, as opposed to the ignorant rantings of so-called Christians, most who seem unable to handle their own households, let alone tell others how they should live. And, if we were serious, who would we invited from away so that we could teach them how to live as good Christians. Do you actually live in The Bahamas?

Based on what I’m hearing, you know, emanating back from the government, we have done our job, and they are appreciative of what we have done,” Commissioner Cleare had told reporters earlier. However, Mr Halkitis suggested to reporters yesterday that a final determination has not been made. “I know there was a proposal floated,” he said. “I was away, but as far as I know, nothing was approved as yet.” We waste money like we waste words.
