What, and who, will change anything?
If the politicians were honest about what was going on financially in this country............
The last thing any politician wants is an educated populace.
How many of us understand the economic implications of what is ahead for The Bahamas?
Exactly!

I am sure the results of this investigation will be earth shattering.

Mr. Munroe should begin the process of issuing passports and NIB cards to those "conceived."

Were there any surprises in the report?

Many thinking people believe our government education has failed, judging by the national test results. By spending more money and resources for these policemen in schools tells us exactly what about our national parenting skills? We are merely asking that our kids act in a respectful, civil and Christian manner. Obviously we have failed. Does this scheme, championed by our illustrious national security establishment, bode well for the future of The Bahamas?
It doesn't necessarily take a well educated person to figure this one out, does it?

Dr. Sands is quite right.
Pinder is showing supreme contempt by this statement.
There is precious little of the government's business that should ever be kept from the people.
A reasonable person would expect AG Pinder to know better.
Personally, I consider this arrogance on this matter alone, to be grounds for his resignation.

We are creative here.
We know we can kill someone apart from stopping their breath and heart beat.
We do it all the time.

There is nothing in a functioning democratic government that should be kept from the people.
Anyone who thinks so should be run out of town.
Period.

Then why do most Bahamians I know prefer to hire foreigners for job openings they have?
Especially if it involves jobs within one's house and positions of trust.
Being capable of doing a job is not the same as willingly doing a job with a good attitude, being on time and being honest.
Perhaps these are the problems that we need to attend to.
Perhaps this is why we are in this situation in the first place.
Sure, Bahamians can do many of these jobs.
But will they without breaking the back of the employer?
On our small family island, the people who come back home from Nassau to invest their money simply refuse to hire our locals.
Why could that be?
So long as we have people in positions of power who do not acknowledge these realities, we are wasting our time and money in paying them.
Politics anybody?
