Imagine if we had a populace capable of intellectually putting together the recent 100 million dollar loan from IDB for Water & Sewerage with this article.
What it clearly shows is that all of our politicians have gone along with not just kicking the can down the road, but actually kicking our children down the road.
The people who have been, and are, running the Bahamian government lack the wisdom and the moral backbone to lead anything.
They have destroyed this country. This is inarguable.

Will those who sign off on this get to pocket the payoff all at once, or get a handout per landing?

trump, like most of our politicians here, is a narcissistic sociopath. He only cares about himself and cannot tell the truth to save himself. Period.
If you don't get that, our educational system, churches and parents have failed you.
trump will throw anyone under the bus for his gain. Anyone. A real Christian, hey?

There is only one escape in The Bahamas.
Laugh at the idiocy and foolishness we have begotten.
The comments are just as sad, they have to make one laugh.
Education, any education, would go a long, long way if we were really truly interested in a better Bahamas.

It is well established that it is very difficult to legislate behavioural changes.
That being said, we are a culture that has normalized lying, theft, corruption, nepotism and vindictiveness,
This culture will be very difficult to change, considering it is rampant at the very top of our economic, religious and political landscape. The very top. And, this rot has extended itself into every facet of Bahamian life. We have allowed a rotten culture to persist. This, despite the empty words that flow from our MP's, pastor's and police's mouths. They seem the worst, in my estimation.
In addition, most educated and decent people have, and are, fleeing this country.
Why? Precisely because if they dare speak out, they get nowhere and are targeted. You, dear reader, may define targeted as you wish. It is an expansive definition.
A betting person who has paid attention to The Bahamas would not place their bet on seeing a better country in their lifetimes.
The only thing we hate more than the lying, cheating, corruption, murders and the disgusting political circus, is the Truth.

Exactly right.
No transparency. No honesty. No accountability. No democracy. It is more like a kleptocracy.
