"She said there was no logical excuse for what happened and promised it would be the last time someone throws the mace out while she is Speaker." Hopefully, her stay as Speaker is as short as possible. She casts a dark shadow over the entire process. The vast majority of Bahamians, I believe, are in support of what the FNM did. Enough is enough.
At this point, it is very hard to believe any high ranking public official here in The Bahamas. You are telling me that of all these names called already, the Minister of National Security and the Prime Minister didn't know something was up? All of them are suspect, not least because of the indictments. We knew we couldn't trust them, long before this. If they cared about this country they would resign. Their presence in office offers no benefits to The People, at this point in time. This administration has failed on every metric; to improve our freedoms, our standard of living, our indebtedness, transparency of government, crime reduction, etc. They are clearly there for themselves, nothing more. The Bahamian people should be ashamed. Our elected officials have seriously let this country down. If we couldn't do it, I am glad the US will put some of these jokers in jail. Lord knows we have many, many more politicians and high ranking officials who deserve to be behind bars.
When bankers rule the world...... What do bankers produce? Why would there ever be a rich banker? Will The Bahamas fall for it again? As we have so many times in the past.
Yes birdie, You are very smart. It is the FNM alone that has drug this country down this sordid path. The PLP is a stellar political party, with all its members selflessly looking out for The People. You are completely right in ALL of your brilliant and scholarly comments in this paper. The FNM should go to hell and the spotless PLP should rule this country forever. You are one well-educated citizen of this country and should actually be a leader of this great nation, instead of just commenting in your articulate manner.. Hats off to your illuminating and forward moving commentary.
Is a picture worth a thousand words? Mr. Pinder, sit small. The PLP is a corrupt organization. Perhaps the FNM is too. But, without doubt the PLP is corrupt beyond redemption, hands down.
