Nothing will ever come of these alleged transgressions. Davis couldn't become transparent if his life depended upon it. The political class is a den of vipers. We put them there
"Ms Woon noted that The Bahamas is the only country in the Caribbean with a commercially viable conch fishery. “All the other countries in the Caribbean have fished them to extinction,” she said. Since scarcity increases value. The Bahamas should focus on making sure we protect this species. This would be a job for Fisheries. Get out of the office and into the classroom. We presently have a very very poor environmental awareness amongst our adults. We must focus on the children and raise their awareness. Fisheries officers should be in every school whereby they have no time to sit around on their phones. Do your job, or find another one. Education is the key. Neither the PLP not the FNM seem to grasp this.
That we fail to see, and honestly address the systemic problems in our society only bodes ill for our future. A system that continues to produce poor college graduates while producing rich criminals, is what we have now. Our "leaders" from top to bottom are deathly scared of confronting the rich criminal class. Until this changes, the criminal class will continue to take over every facet of The Bahamas and our daily lives. This is unarguable. We continue to mindlessly blame guns, instead of the poorly raised kids and adults who use them. We remain willfully ignorant as a society. We spend our days on social media and talking crap, instead of reading and learning, helping The Bahamas become a better place. It seems as if we just don't care. The Bahamas is disappearing. Our culture, our genetics, our crafts, our food, our work ethic, our respect for life, our marine life, and soon our landmass, are all disappearing. We have failed to produce the needed number of quality citizens capable of leading this nation into the future. We did this to ourselves. That this brazen attack even happened in the first place, suggests a much deeper social rot that has seemingly gripped this nation..
