Which will soon come to nations like ours.
We can only hope the sneeze yields a cold, and not a fast terminal illness.

Porcupine says...

If we realized how deep, dark and pervasive this organized element of our society is, we would probably be even more sad.

Porcupine says...

We have an administration, the present PLP administration, of incompetent and ignorant fools.
They are there to get rich in 5 years.
They have NOT a concern for the Bahamian people.

Absolutely correct.

Porcupine says...

At least we are a Christian nation.
Just don't read the papers.
We lack vision, honesty and education.
A very deadly combination.

Porcupine says...

I would like to think so, however we must realize that this is about how our culture and the entire PLP administration which has no guardrails.
Anyone paying attention realizes that the corruption has permeated our entire culture. Maybe the FNM will be slightly better, however our nation has gone along with the corrupt politicians for far too long. This is not an election issue, it is a complete generational issue whereby the results will not be seen for 20 or 30 years. How many of us plan for more than the weekend?
We are UNABLE to be truthful and honest. We have rarely seen these attributes in our leadership.
The lack of an educated populace does not bode well either.

Porcupine says...

Wow. Brilliant. Thanks

Porcupine says...

Sorry. Both PLP and FNM are two sides of the same coin.
I call it as I see it.
Objectively, we are all on a losing team.
No vision, no honesty, no education.
Where would decent leadership come from?
Our communities?

So much truth.
A small Man, unable to confront his humanity, a sociopath by his actions and unable to act like a real man, best describes our current PM.
Sadly, he does not have the integrity, the honesty, or the humility to do what is best for the country.
Nearly every act of this current administration is a lesson on self-dealing, greed and hubris.
Davis counts on the ill-educated populace and his crooked, compromised associates to continue on his childish, selfish and greedy rampage.
Words have become a weapon, on which this PM was trained to thrive.
Continue politics as usual, and this country is finished.
There is no integrity or honesty from this PM.
It is sad that so many are so deluded, or ignorant to this man's ways.
We are on a downward spiral.
Davis and his administration are all for themselves. They have no concern for The People.
Wake up!

“I don’t care how much this happens or how widespread it is, or who gets greased and who doesn’t get greased,” Bishop Boyd said. “It is something that we need to move away from if we are going to move our countries forward.”

His remarks came as Prime Minister Philip “Brave” Davis, who attended the service with Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell, has said campaign finance reform will not happen before the next general election, despite the promise his party made in its pre-election manifesto.

“We have to acknowledge the lapses in our system, the lapses in the integrity of some of us, and the things which have caused immigrants not to have the rights that they ought to have,” he said.

I wonder if Davis and Mitchelll were listening to this man.
Or, like they behave with The People of The Bahamas, were they even listening?

And, what about using web shop money to buy an "elected" parliamentary position?
Crickets, hey?

The ability to think and have empathy are sorely lacking in our "leadership" class.

The good Bishop says, “It is wrong for money to control the outcome of an election or the future of a country,” he said during the opening of the 122nd Synod of the Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands.
I wonder who / what he could be talking about?

Who would be in political office here without dirty drug, bootlegging, or gambling money?
Not one!
