They see what they want to see.
Nothing more, nothing less.

So many misguided and false statements in such a short article.
The test of a true seasoned lawyer.
Of course the statistics will show what you want them to show.
We have no Freedom of Information.
So, we have to take your word for it.
"Yesterday, Mr Davis said he was not concerned about the impact of the increasing NIB rate on the unemployment rate."
Of course he's not concerned. Tell me what are politicians concerned with?
Mr. Davis said, “When you looked at the statistics, and how it is the methodology engaged to determine unemployment, they don’t take into account persons who have stopped looking for work, the discouraged worker,” he said.
And then, this by the Tribune reporter.
"In fact, the BNSI survey did account for discouraged workers. Experts concluded there were 10,800 discouraged workers in the third quarter of 2023 and 9,500 in the fourth quarter."
So, in essence, not telling the truth qualifies you for political office.
Seems Myles Munroe had a point, hey?

Not only will a public forum not work, I can prove to you that anyone who dares speak out will be viciously attacked.
First, they circle their own wagons, which are the politicians and their political cronies. The same ones who get the lucrative contracts no matter how badly and publicly they have failed in the past.
Our politicians do NOT want anyone who speaks with any conviction or intelligence to tell them how badly they are screwing their constituents.
They already know this and couldn't care less.
That is precisely why the Family Islands are in the state they are in.
The politicians say that the Family Islanders are too stupid and just don't care. When in reality the Family Islanders just got tired of complaining and seeing nothing done. Every election season big promises are made to the Family Islanders, just before the cash is handed out near the polling booths. Do ANY of the promises come true? See for yourself.

Sometimes it seems that way, until you realize what the average, decent person is being fed. Fed with poisonous food, and fed with the nonsense coming out of the so-called leaders mouths.
Ever studied Divide and Conquer?
Remember now, there are not really two parties. In both the US and here they are basically the same.
The people's needs and desires are shunned by both parties.
The one's who have a say in politics are the elites. The ones who fund the politicians and the governments. They, somehow, always get what they want.
Curious, isn't it?
So long as we allow money in politics, it will be the same as allowing the richest to bribe the police. Is that how we judge justice?
Apparently so.

Maybe this is a shout out to Mr. Pinder, who wants to hold the US accountable for the guns coming into this country.
The law profession here is sometimes brain dead in considering the fact of rum running, the well documented Country for Sale cocaine flowing into the US and the flow of undocumented immigrants.
I suspect this is a shot across the bow to tell Pinder to sit small and realize where he lives, before he speaks.
If Pinder is so dense that he really believes that the guns are the problem and he is at the top of our legal system here, it speaks volumes on the true lack of education and lack of exposure to the thinking world.
While the US is batshit crazy, they have many more guns than people, yet their murder rate is far, far lower than The Bahamas.
Couldn't have anything to do with poor parenting, poor education, lack of government vision, or anything else. No, must be the guns.
How many generations do we have to wait for intelligence to rise to the top in governance here?
Oh, I see they are mostly fleeing to places where they have an opportunity to use their brains.

Funny how those who are speaking the loudest simply don't comprehend that they are the biggest part of the problem.
It is difficult not to see that our political class is a criminal class.
Mitchell is one of the biggest problems we have.

Our water was out on Andros today, and will likely be out tomorrow judging by the heavy equipment in the road. This is Mr. Lundy's constituency. This is Bahamian Water & Sewerage.
We have been complaining for years. Who's listening? Nobody!
Mr. Sweerting and Mr. Lundy said, "The level of service provided by Aqua Design Bahamas Limited is unacceptable and does not meet the standards we expect in The Bahamas,”
We have no standards, let's be real.
We're not the only one's complaining. Most people who have any self-respect just quit complaining. Why? Simple. The government doesn't seem to care.
Standards? Don't make me laugh.

Well, who trusts ANY of these numbers?
Nobody with the high school education of how many percent? Gimmee a break.
And certainly with no Freedom of Information Act.
My guess is that 10% of the government workers would be able to hold a job for one month in most other places.
Our productivity is at rock bottom.
The writing is on the wall.
No matter how this government tries to paint a rosy picture, you still got to have rose colored glasses on to believe anything they say.
Yes, or no?
