The BIA is on the other side of this matter and certainly did not follow the Tribune who is an employer, not an insurer. The BIA from day one has made known its strong opposition to the government's methods regarding NHI.

Why didn't this person make this noise in council itself? Why would you leave the most powerful body in your party and come run to the Tribune with a limp-wristed mask over your face? If your party means so much to you why the heck wont you stand up for it like men and women instead of hiding behind the pens of newspaper editors? Either way, the Bahamian people do not care about what is happening in your party and this is the actual reality that these people refuse to accept. With all that is happening in this nation, nobody cares about a bunch of people in a party who are too hapless and worthless to preserve what they are coming crying to the public about via the papers. The FNM is an embarrassment now. If this coward is so concerned about how the FNM looks or stands going into the next election, why is he taking council matters to a national daily?

100% correct @sickened - he is already elected. The nation cannot elect him to be Prime Minister, constituents can only elect him in his constituency to be an MP - and that's all he needs to be to bring proposed legislation to the Parliament. He obviously does not know or understand his role in this present capacity - otherwise he would have had Bills drafted and presented long ago regarding what he claims the country needs.

I guess the US needs to send out an alert too on behalf of Bahamian citizens, since an alert from the US is enough to get the government to atleast look like they are taking action on something

Why is a government Minister saying what we ***need*** to do? The government is supposed to simply **do it,** not come to the public stating the obvious about what is needed. That is the job of the Opposition, not the government.
