This Speaker never did know the Rules of Parliament and still doesn't clearly. He doesn't even know that the PAC is a Standing Committee (or pillar of Parliament) not a Select Committee, which is the kind that Rollins called for the other day. Both are governed by completely different rules and procedures. The Opposition is worthless too though, because they ought not have simply sat by and acceded to the nonsense the Speaker has been doing and has done here. Obviously they do not understand their power in the Parliament and as leaders of the PAC. A gaggle of people on both sides who do not know Parliament and do not know what in the hell they are doing; and clearly do not care to know.

When the person is a minor, you are not "having sex" with them, you are **raping** them. Our refusal or reluctance to call these acts what they are is indicative of our social mindset about the same, whether conscious or subconscious.

> Having attended a New Providence Community Church service yesterday, Dr Minnis quoted scripture, telling The Tribune: “I was at church this morning and it was very interesting, a segment that came out. (The bible) says how can the people call for help if they do not know who to trust?

Irony of ironies. Leaving aside arguments about why Scripture was injected into this issue at all, this man does not even understand that he and elements of his Party are also part of the very problem he chose to highlight via this passage of Scripture!!! By and large, the people don't trust Christie (and they shouldn't) and they don't trust you either Mr. Minnis. That's why they are not flocking to you crying for your help to rescue the nation even though rescue is needed.

> Christie should’ve been in the church reading scripture. The PLP should have been in church reading scripture. Maybe the PLP needs to spend more time in church so they could hear the word of God.”

**Stop this foolishness**. Religion is divisive enough and is already used by the PLP to underpin their deception and control. Now the FNM's new leader is doing the same nonsense, steeped in gross hypocrisy doing so one might add, since he certainly cannot suddenly be trying to put himself or his Party forward as bastions of spirituality or morality. Keep the Rubis/government discussion on the level it belongs and leave feigned religiosity out of the discussion, as inserting it is ignorant and unnecessary.

Unfortunately, no such authority is vested in Select Committees or our Parliament at this time (throwing persons in jail for refusal to appear when invited or summoned). Such authority (or the authority to impose fines) could be legislated if Parliament so chooses, but so far, nada. The Committee can summon, but has little teeth beyond that to enforce the same. It, upon making its formal Committee Report to Parliament, must rely on the House to decide how to respond to persons like Bonnie and Clyde who refused to appear.

What the police say and the reason he ought to have been fired in the first instance are not one and the same matters, but the government is counting on people believing that the police need to lay a charge, etc against Gray in order to justify his removal from Cabinet - which the police will not do.
