Lightbourn's comments were to be condemned. As were Leslie Miller's comments about beating women. As have been the comments of prominent pastors who believe a man should have the right to rape his wife any time he sees fit. As has been the commentary by prominent members of society during the referendum debacles which said women, just by virtue of being women, are brainless and have no ability to think and reason for themselves. This society is shamelessly misogynistic and many of our women are painfully self-loathing. They believe they are inferior to a man. It is ingrained in our heavily religious culture. And it is a leading reason behind the comfort public officials have with making these kinds of statements about and against women.

Did someone tamper with Lightbourn's brain, central nervous system and mouth to make him read it too? Please.

Yes, Turnquest. And also, where is the Public Accounts Committee's majority report on Urban Renewal? You sit on that Committee and your side controls it. The Parliament is about to be dissolved soon and that report has yet to be tabled for the Bahamian people. The ineptitude of both sides of Parliament is a foreboding sign of what is to come. We know what the PLP is. The problem is that the FNM this term has failed to demonstrate in actions, not mere words, that it is better for the job.

He did not break the Data Protection Act. The information in those emails is not covered under the Data Protection Act and is not under the auspices of the Data Commissioner. Read the Act for yourself if you do not believe what I have just said. Fitzgerald is slime, but facts are facts as it pertains to your assertion.

Is anyone surprised? These worthless politicians care absolutely nothing about the nation's children or the nation at large, and education is an enemy of their political and personal progress. That is why the educational system (as well as the law enforcement system) are among the publicly-funded systems that suffer the most when they are in power.

This was a civil case, not a criminal case.

Indeed. One my celebrate the ruling itself, but it is pretty safe to assume that if any money is ever paid at all, it wont be coming from his personal pocket.

He never intended to run again in Fort Charlotte because he did not want to go up against Alfred Sears. He is simply hiding his lack of character behind feigned principle. He was also a part of a plot of a different FNM faction to get rid of Minnis. Why doesn't Andre blow the whistle on that plot? They are all frauds.

On Rollins: I won't run for FNM

They did not say that. Only Rollins said that. The rest of the MPs never made that declaration. Rollins, who said that behind closed doors in their Council Meeting, convinced himself that his words were their words when they had no clue he was going to make the statement he did.
