What a colossal waste of time and money on a pointless endeavour! What possible justification can there be for this? Sounds like a "make work" exercise designed to further alienate Bahamians!
She presumed to speak for the FNM - there is absolutely nothing in the role of a Senator that promotes or allows for this kind of behaviour. She acted like a petulant, unruly child and made clear her lack of diplomacy or discretion. There are far too many childish representatives on both sides of the aisle - glad to see her go! Let's hope that the balance of the hoodlums are not too far behind!
Inject another $30 million so that PGC and his cronies can rape the coffers again! Sandilands better develop a rapid expansion program for those who would need to be committed if they approve this scheme!
"Mr McCartney lambasted both political groups for their “complete disregard” for true public representation. He also said the Bahamas would be “rocked to its core” if the public were made aware of how many high-ranking public officials gained their fortunes."
I seriously doubt that the public is unaware of the level of corruption and slackness is rampant in the public service. Nor would revealing the source of the fortunes of most high-ranking public officials come as any surprise. This is the greatest non-secret of the country!
One only need to spend a day trying to get anything done at ANY public service (Road Traffic/Immigration/Customs) to know that the only way you are getting of there with the results you came looking for is to make sure that you also bring $$$$ to get the results you are entitled to as taxpayers!!!!
I applaud Mr. McCartney however. I would love to see him partner with the likes of Loretta Butler Turner, win the vote away from the incumbent nasties and turn this country on it's dirty ear!
Now there's a political ticket I would love to see in The Bahamas!!! These 2 could move mountains! It's waaaaaaay past time to sweep house and clear out all the rats and cockroaches currently infesting the HOA - on BOTH sides of the aisle!
"shinning examples"?????? Please Tribune copy editor - run spellcheck before you commit to press!! We MUST elevate the level of intelligence when and where we can!!!
Gehtto is correct! Pamper is a BRAND of disposable diaper!!!! How long are we going to continue to reveal our ignorance by making such misnomers a part of our vernacular?

Given her behaviour in the past - I don't blame him for recording her. Her mouth is what precipitated her downfall - not his recording.
