Sancheska, child please check your spelling before submitting your articles for publication! British Columbia - no N!!! How are we to take the contributors to the news seriously, when they cannot even get the simplest of things right!!!?

Well, if the items being handed over are "Made in China" we have no worries at all. Like everything else "Made in China" they will already be broken or will break upon first attempt to use.

You hit the nail on the head with this statement! The man was an embarrassment and was regarded as a criminal by several foreign policing agencies. He got where he was by cuddling up to drug dealers and a hoard of other criminals, yet this delusional country glorifies him at every opportunity. As for the evil witch he was married to - what qualifies her to be Governor General??? SMT! Bahamians need to stop sticking their heads in the sand!!

Mr. Miller obviously has no concept of what a Crisis Centre provides:

The mandate of a Crisis Centre is to assist in the prevention of domestic violence and other societal problems by intervention and education.

The services offered to clients include: emotional support, short-term counselling, information on existing resources, references to appropriate agencies, documentation on the various issues, and counselling for victims of domestic violence.

The team is made up of volunteers trained to provide immediate assistance to individuals and families in crisis.

**Mr. Miller, may I suggest you stop using worthwhile agencies for your own personal and political grandstanding!**

So what you are saying is that since slavery was abolished (incidentally that was in 1834 - 181 years ago) - that EVERY white Bahamian is guilty of both slavery and colonialism? Man give your head a shake - history shows us that . . .

Thousands of captive Africans, who were liberated from foreign slave ships by the British navy after the abolition of the slave trade were resettled as free persons in the Bahamas.

In the early 1820s, hundreds of African slaves and Seminoles escaped from Florida, most settling on Andros Island in the Bahamas. Three hundred escaped in a mass flight in 1823. While the flow was reduced by federal construction of a lighthouse at Cape Florida in 1825, slaves continued to find freedom in the Bahamas.

In August 1834, the traditional plantation life ended with the British emancipation of slaves throughout most of its colonies. Freedmen chose to work on their own small plots of land when possible.

The attitude that one colour is more worthy than another is a slap in the face to the many, both white and black, who have worked hard to educate themselves and establish thriving businesses in The Bahamas.

It seems to me that those who grasp onto these divisive attitudes are mainly those who mistakenly believe that the world owes them something for nothing and use the past as justification for their slackness.

Every time this potcake opens his maw he vomits forth such ridiculous nonsense! Why on earth are the news agencies even bothering to entertain his foolishness?

Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

stlslez - You have managed to make a complete ass of yourself with this statement. Perhaps you should remain in school or return there - you obviously have no concept of compassion nor do you have the first clue about history.

Nobody is asking the vets to give up their salaries to have volunteers to come here and work for charity - there is a serious flaw in your question. Better to ask, who here is willing to take stray Potcakes and/or Potcats into the vet and pay $50 out of your own pocket to have the animal spayed or neutered. Then to work hard to ensure that the animal is either released to a caring home or at least into an area where they are going to be fed and cared for? Are you?

Once again **GREED** motivates the decision making process! This activity does not cost the Bahamian people one red cent! It is done out of care and concern and in fact, actually saves in the long run.

This ridiculous proposal proposal from the VMAB will do **absolutely nothing** to alleviate the Potcake situation. The people who bring their dogs to these clinics would not otherwise do so. So the VMAB is not out a penny! Furthermore, those volunteers who come from away pay their own way, pay for accommodations, pay for meals and other things - in other words they also contribute to the local economy!!

*Proverbs 12:10 tells us that no one should be cruel to animals. And it tells us that in the eyes of God the person that takes care to love, and fill all needs of their pets are rewarded and looked upon as righteous and good. Those that are cruel and abuse their animals will not be looked upon favourably.*

MrMuhammad - you are an a** sir! You actually believe that the only people perpetrating racism are white people? You need to take the cotton out of your ears and listen to the way we black people speak of each other. It has never been my experience to feel like I am being opressed by any white person here in The Bahamas or anywhere else in the world - the large majority of cries of oppression continue to come from those individuals who seem to think that they can attribute their slackness to being oppressed. Get your head out of the sand and grow up!
