You always seem overly pre-occupied with racism, as if you're expecting reparations to somehow come your way. Most of us know only too well that racism still exits today in the hearts and minds of many, but we refuse to allow ourselves to be consumed by it. Suggest you try do likewise.
Carl Bethel had better keep one very fundamental thing straight that wandering mind of his that is all too often prone to mischief and deceit. It is the people of the Bahamas, i.e. we Bahamian citizens, who get to determine directly for themselves who is eligible to be a Bahamian citizen. Our elected officials are only able to determine by statute and regulations the terms, conditions and procedures by which constitutionally eligible individuals are to be conferred Bahamian citizenship. This difference here may be subtle and difficult for many to understand, but it is nevertheless a vitally important difference. Put another way, it was always intended that the right and privilege to determine citizenship eligibility should rest **directly** with the Bahamian people, i.e. be reserved directly unto ourselves through our Constitution, as opposed to being reserved **indirectly** by us through our elected officials. There are somethings we simply and rightly do not ever want to trust or empower our elected officials to do - the determination of who is eligible to be a Bahamian is at the very top of that list!
This greedy corrupt idiot was never ever involved in public service of any kind for the betterment of the Bahamian people. For Bag Man Bethel it has always only ever been about amassing wealth for himself and his family members off of the overburdened backs of honest hardworking Bahamian taxpayers. He knows absolutely no shame and there is no depth to the depravity he will stoop to for the purpose of unjustly enriching himself and his family.

Unfortunately many things are inter-connected and cannot be easily tackled and resolved as a discrete problem. Good governance of the social and economic needs of a nation is incredibly demanding because it requires simultaneously dealing with the dynamics of many related moving parts. Understanding how the parts affect each other is critical to prioritizing the key issues that need to be addressed in a meaningful way.
Someone needs to remind this clown Cooper that God did not elect him....he was elected by the voters in his constituency.......and his only mission as an elected official comes from them.....being the mission to faithfully represent his constituents' interests and the interests of the Bahamian people at large to the best of his ability.
What our government has not told us is that full membership in the WTO requires that our country do away with the currency peg of BSD 1 equals USD 1. Instead our country will be required to allow the Bahamian dollar to float in value against the United States dollar and the IMF has already opined that the intrinsic value of one Bahamian dollar is currently worth not more than USD 0.80 at most.
