This lawyer has been calling it all wrong ever since the late 1990s. He's has always been much too focused on trying to pocket a dollar for himself and his family, and will never see the forest for sake of the trees!
Dis commish don'na look like he too discipline or workin too hard! He muss'y like dat same chick'in shack as dat lady in da house a'ssembly. He really need lead'em by example!
Bran is only proving here that he is no different than Christie or Ingraham ...... if he were different, and truly had the evidence he claims, then he would be publicly naming and shaming the 16+ MPs who are tax dodgers. bran, either put up or shut up!
Freddie Boy sees nothing wrong with the Haitianization of the Bahamas and he would like to see more Haitians than Bahamians at our polling stations during general elections and many more Haitians employed than Bahamians. But first he must get rid of those annoying white supremacist Swiss bankers who are employing too many Bahamians and paying their employees too much. Yes, Freddie Boy has always had his sleeves rolled up when it comes to laying the groundwork for Bahamians to be a minority in their own country. He much prefers thinking of himself as saviour of the Haitian community in the Bahamas and could not care less about what this means for the quality of life of the average Bahamian. His National ID scheme will have the thousands of Haitians now carrying an illegal Bahamian passport receive a Bahamas National ID Card. Go Freddie Boy Go....most Bahamians surely deserve everything you are bringing their way under your master plan!
Internet chatter is already discussing the excellent view and smell of the Nassau public dump that will exist from many of the south facing BahaMar hotel rooms and condo highrises to come in the Cable Beach area. I bet the Chinese financiers of BahaMar never fully appreciated the extent to which their lendings will be put at risk from the toxic smouldering fumes of the Nassau public dump that have plaqued the Cable Beach area for many years now. The most polluted city in China has less toxic air than our public dump. What fools!
Winder (like James Smith) would have you believe that if the WTO tells the Bahamas to commit economic suicide by jumping off of a cliff, then it must do so pronto. What utter nonsense!
In negotiations with the WTO, Winder failed to take account of (or simply chose to ignore) the following reality:
- Successive Bahamian governments (whether FNM or PLP) have demonstrated time and time again that they have no political will to control either the level of recurrent expenditures (i.e. the size of government) or their propensity to binge spend in buying support (votes) through essentially illegal "entitlement" programs of one kind or another, e.g. the "double-dipping fiasco, the lack of enforcement of existing taxes like real property tax (now culturally ingrained as an "entitlement") and so on.
Yes, Winder (like Smith) chose to stick his head in the sand and do the government of the day's bidding at the WTO negotiating table, all the while believing that foreign government organizations like the WTO know what's best for the Bahamas. Too late to whine now.....we must just do (or not do) what is in the best interest of the Bahamian people. Giving the PLP or FNM more revenue in the form of VAT dollars to continue growing government or buying support (votes) through one illegal scheme or another is simply not the way to go from a common sense point of view.
Is anyone paying attention to the cowardice of our feckless PM who happens to also be our Minister of Finance? Christie has his entire Cabinet out there walking the plank as regards their political careers while he himself cowers below deck praying his ship does not sink. what a yellow-belly of a leader he has turned out to be, but hubert was no different. These two cowardly critters need to be brought before an international tribunal for the crimes they have perpetrated on most Bahamians and against our Bahama Land.
