You miss the bigger point my friend. Why in the hell should the taxpayers of the Bahamas be called on to bail out private investors in CLICO who for years were content to receive very greedy returns on their annuity investments in CLICO that were much higher than any prudent investor should have been content to receive? The corrupt Christie-led PLP government is robbing Peter (the hard working honest Bahamian taxpayers) to pay Paul (the likes of the Maynard family members)!!
Guess again. I'm one of the "twenty-two" striving to put the "six" out to "pasture" along with Minnis by not opening my very "fat" pocket book to the FNM party in the run up to a general election for the first time since the party's formation.
The FNM must truly be hard up for cash. This yapping poodle was likely able to secure his candidacy by writing a cheque to the FNM party for not more than $100,000. What a joke!
Thanks to Christie's desire to rule like Mugabe until he drops dead, and the $28 million Christie helped Minnis pocket for destroying the FNM, it looks like either the corrupt Christie-led PLP government is guaranteed another five-year term or the incompetent power hungry DNA will get its first term as the government. As voters well know though, either of these two likely outcomes is infinitely better than the possibility of Minnis ever becoming PM!
Namely: Our current PM and Minister of Finance (Christie), our previous PM and Minister of Finance (Ingraham), Paul McWeeny (former Managing Director of BoB), Keith Davies (CEO of BISX), Richard Demeritte (Chairman of BoB), Sean McWeeny (conflicted legal advisor at Graham Thompson for BoB), Halkitis in the Ministry of Finance, the accounting firm partners of the current and past auditors of BoB (E&Y and Deloitte respectively) and so on, including the current and immediately past Chairman of the National Insurance Board. Keep in mind too that the Governor of the Central Bank (currently John Rolle, previously Wendy Craig) serves as an ex-officio director on the Board of the Securities Commission!
Re-post: The white haired poodle is indeed an annoying yapping antagonizer lacking in political clout. If throwing him a bone to chew on does not help quiet him down, then he may need instead a good dowsing of highly effective flea powder. His over-sized Cornell fed ego occasionally gives him an incredibly irritating itch resulting in spontaneous fits of yapping!
Mitchell must own thousands of you brain dead PLP trolls. By the way, his posting on the Wikipedia web site was hacked the other day and the "dog on dog" graphic, both looking like under gifted pot cakes with small sets of balls, looked utterly disgusting. Fweddy really needs to pay more for internet security.
