Sir Snake acquired most of his thousands of acres of landholdings in South Eleuthera by having SLOP apply the screws to the foreign owners who at the time owed millions of dollars in arrears of real property tax (RPT) and related penalties and interest to the Public Treasury. The foreigners were allowed to sell their land at a discounted price to Sir Snake without ever paying the RPT and then the government, once the land was owned by Sir Snake, waived it real property tax entitlement leaving the Public Treasury of the Bahamian people without the benefit of the millions of dollars in RPT that it should have received. No Bahamian has ever benefited from crooked shenanigans and cronyism involving corrupt governments led by SLOP and Christie to the extent that Sir Snake has managed to do. No doubt a portion of Sir Snake's ill-gotten gains have flowed back to his enablers in one form or another!

You fail to understand that Mudda_take_sic is talking about thousands of foreigners going all the way back to July 10th, 1973.

Stop being such an idiot. What I've been saying all along (like Mudda_take_sic) is don't exacerbated or compound existing serious problems with our constitution by foolishly voting "YES" to any of the four proposed amendments.

The fact that Minnis is always all over the map by moving from "topic du jour" to "topic du jour" without sticking with or pursuing anything to its logical conclusion speaks volumes about his ADD or ADHD type personality. This guy is no leader - he's got too many serious problems upstairs, if you know what I mean!

This new bill will of course be strongly endorsed by Sean McWeeney, Sharon Wilson and Rubie Nottage.

And this is perhaps the fundamental reason why Bahamian voters in the next general election should vote for an independent candidate running in their constituency rather than the candidate put forward by either the PLP of FNM. The next general election may be the last opportunity we have to free ourselves of these two political nests of very detestable greedy corrupt cockroaches who don't give a hoot about anyone but themselves!

Big Bad Brad, who is well known to have had his way with more than one woman, is dead wrong in his reasoning and advice, and he (like Sean McWeeney, Rubie Nottage, Sharon Wilson, Vomit et al.) knows it. Take proposed amendment number two for example. Harvey Tynes QC has already pointed out that a foreign man should not be able to acquire Bahamian citizenship and the right to vote just by marrying a Bahamian woman. This grave mistake would only serve to amplify and compound the very serious mistake that already exists in our constitution whereby a foreign women marrying a Bahamian man automatically acquires Bahamian citizenship. The act of marriage should not be synonymous with obtaining citizenship and voting rights. These two things, marriage and citizenship, are very different things and two wrongs certainly do not make a right. If anything, our constitution should be amended to remove the original mistake so that a woman does not automatically acquires citizenship and voting rights upon marrying a Bahamian man. The other three proposed amendments all carrying equally dire consequences for our country and the way of life of Bahamians; some intended and others not. I am compelled to vote "NO" for all four of the proposed amendments and every Bahamian voter who cares about their country would be wise to do likewise.
