The Haitians from the north shore, where 90% of those who are now domiciled in The Bahamas are from, murdered their liberator from the French and then proceeded to burn every plantation on the island. They have been starving ever since. The people of Cap Haitian and the north coast are the bane of Haiti and they are all over The Bahamas now!!!

I guess Mr. Moss is not the type to drive around visiting his constituents with a sweetheart in the car.

One would hope that the representative for Long Island recognizes her constituency's hard line on the boat people from the south and does not return with bleeding heart!

Wow! Hubert really did Long Island a disservice sending this cow to represent them. Her only interest is being elected PM. She obviously does not remember how badly she lost the last time she challenged the leadership of the FNM. Long Island is still reeling from the hurricane and she is planning another leadership campaign which will shift her focus to national campaigning. Not that she really focuses on Long Island anyhow save cookouts and weekends on the beach, whale watching at Cape Santa Maria,

...always has something to say about everything this woman. She is no longer in a leadership position but has to remain on a 24 hour a day PR campaign on everything. Surely there is a pothole in the road in Long Island that requires her attention or finding a foreign investor to develop part of the island but no, that would take focus and vision. It is far easier to bitch and complain all the time. She is essentially the female version of Jimmy Knowles.

...not entirely sure how safe I would feel in a march in Nassau. Who one would be marching to for a solution? Thought the government was supposed to provide public safety.

...these Greek fellows will make more millions and good for them. Perhaps with this new franchise, The Bahamas will take the #1 position in the world obesity ranking instead of #6. I wonder if it would be possible for these chaps to introduce a Mediterranean diet based fast food restaurant given their ethnic background. That being said, the brothers run a very professional outfit and no one is holding a gun to Bahamian's heads to stand in line to buy fast food!

Regardless says...

....of course if The Bahamas were able to obtain the #1 position in obesity, there would be a sense of great pride and the elected leaders could bestow a new national holiday for the electorate. Dancing in the streets would obviously be restricted due to impossibility of many to physically move.

...the upside is we are finally in the top 10 of something. The downside it is the nation's average IQ is probably in the bottom 10. Nothing like culture!!!!

Kerzner no longer has his 5 star contractor Jim Boocher to complete Bahamar due to the latter's passing some years back. I would trust he would have performance bonds in place to insure the Chinese complete the job on time, professionally and on budget. Surprising there were no performance bonds in place to begin with.
