I wonder why family, educators and religious leaders never told me told me that if I continually and flamboyantly broke the law over the course of many years that political donations would eventually exonerate my illicit activities and the millions made would be legal. All I would have to do was deal with “discrepancy on the back taxes and the interpretation of what turnover is”.
Good to see the Sands clan now have their own event rather than trying to compete against those they sponsored as they did with Tanqueray years ago. When Tanqueray was disqualified for design issues, Butler and Sands boycotted the Family Island Regatta for years. Apparently beer brings some wisdom.
Will the developers of this subdivision be looking after any of these costs? As some of them enjoy substantial profits from the fuel supply contract to BEC, surely they are in position to at least offset some of this hangover from original poor planning.
Marketing has a lot to do with this. They are constantly discounting their products at the retail end. Putting the Coke brand on dumpsters should have been enough to have their franchise terminated. Their recent local advertising has no message for inducement for consumption. I guess one has to expect this from a banker. Just like lawyers. Smartest people in the room - always,
