Good to see the Sands clan now have their own event rather than trying to compete against those they sponsored as they did with Tanqueray years ago. When Tanqueray was disqualified for design issues, Butler and Sands boycotted the Family Island Regatta for years. Apparently beer brings some wisdom.
Will the developers of this subdivision be looking after any of these costs? As some of them enjoy substantial profits from the fuel supply contract to BEC, surely they are in position to at least offset some of this hangover from original poor planning.
Marketing has a lot to do with this. They are constantly discounting their products at the retail end. Putting the Coke brand on dumpsters should have been enough to have their franchise terminated. Their recent local advertising has no message for inducement for consumption. I guess one has to expect this from a banker. Just like lawyers. Smartest people in the room - always,
If the DJs have more sense than those on 98.7, that will be a welcome relief. Please do not spend entire Fridays stating "its the weekend baby" every ten to 15 minutes - and yes, we know KFC is a sponsor but stop trying to sell nutritional benefits of it! "Morning Sickness" is even more ridiculous with the DJ's endless ummmmss while searching for something sensible to say. He makes the characters on Dumb and Dumber look like rocket scientists.
Looking forward to hearing the new format. Best of luck.
