The Haitian flag was raised in the Bahamas years ago when then prime minister Hubert Alexander Ingraham told Bahamians they should learn Creol and Perry Christie told Haitians he was "one of them" and hoped to see a Haitian prime minister here!
Ingraham and Christie maybe "hero's" to Haitians, but they are traitors to Bahamians and need to be recognized as such.
Astonishing that Brave did not consider himself and his political colleagues "incredibly selfish and unpatriotic to watch and do nothing" as Perry Christie's administration through sheer incompetence drove this country over a fiscal cliff with 5 successive downgrades!
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The government needs to stop trying to fool us with this charade.
The Haitian invasion will stop immediately as soon as the demand is cut off. When illegals cannot find housing and work, they won't have reason to come here!
Since the treasury is broke due to hurricane Dorian, now is the perfect time for the government to earnestly start charging people for hiring illegals. This would be a huge cash cow for the treasury.
Blah, blah, blah, blah. The Dominicans will get a tongue lashing, a sissy slap on the wrists from some Bahamian judge, sent back home and they will be back in few days doing the same thing again!
The Bahamas has perfected asinine stupidity beyond any imagination.
They will look after the country by seeking out some of the 1000's of like-minded, honest and patriotic Bahamians who would love play integral roles in rooting out corruption!
Truth is, the geniuses we had as governments shot themselves in the foot by allowing 1000,s of expat blue-collar workers that do not spend and invest locally to displace Bahamians!
This killed retail banking and gave birth to money transfer companies on every corner.
Bob and the Canadian banks would have remained healthy had dumb jackass finance ministers Ingraham and Christie understood the repercussions of 10's of 1000's of expat blue-collar workers repatriating hard currencies versus Bahamians spending in the local economy!
To add insult to injury, the Minnis government is too weak to reverse the situation by canceling blue-collar work permits.
We are well on the way to the bottom with no end in sight thanks to the PLP and FNM "leadership"!
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Lots of good sounding words, but no substance of how we will get from this point and headed in the right direction!
This is a typical scenario of why we remain in this state of wonton piracy rule. All we do is stand around talking when we should be marching on Parliament demanding justice, accountability, resignations and the disbanding of the PLP and FNM.
It is illogical to blame this mess we call a country on any one party. It took decades of collaborative corruption across party lines to drive the country into the ditch. Neither party acted as a corrective watchdog against the other. They are one and the same, two-headed coin.
The PLP and FNM are equally guilty of massive corruption resulting in the poor state of our country and the decimation of our people.
Our country will never progress as long as the PLP or FNM has anything to do with governance.
The Organisation for Responsible Governance’s should be advocating for two new political parties instead of simply soapboxing meaningless, flowery, words with no teeth or objective.
Of course, Loretta Butler-Turner had no problem with the BEC fiasco, Vincent-Vanderpool Wallace absconding with millions of the peoples' money, the $300,000.00 toilets at Saunders Beach, the $100M cost over-run with the roads rehabilitation project, selling BTC at 10c. on the dollar, and gifting a very costly and profitable submarine communications cable to Haiti!
These politicians can only see the splinter in the opposition but cannot see the many rafters in their own eyes.
Both PLP and FNM are corrupt to the core and must be removed!
Let's not forget the "Sandy Bottom" deal was initiated by Hubert Ingraham and concluded by Perry Christie, so this Dutch investigation exposes collaborative piracy in the plp **and** fnm!
This also exposes why the PLP and FNM are always eager beaver to use foreign consultants and why both parties find it impossible to pass the Freedom of information act. If we had the ability to investigate, we would most likely find that massive graft and corruption runs hand in hand with every foreign consultancy they ever used!
Billions of our tax dollars have been stolen by these "honorable pirates". Meanwhile, nothing here works properly, we continue suffering the highest cost of living in the hemisphere, these pirates continue taking turns raping us with a smile and promises of "Bahamians first" and "It's the people's time".
We the people should be rioting in the streets and surgically removing the plp and fnm as far away from governance as humanly possible!
