"What appears to be a long-running ‘silent invasion’" this is the understatement of the century!
Anyone that cannot see Haitians is serious about succeeding the Bahamas from us **AND** successive PLP and FNM administrations have secretly aided and abetted them, simply do not want to face reality.
It is totally egregious that **Not one** of the multiple clandestine treaties under Pindling, Ingraham or Christie signed with Haiti on behalf of the Bahamian people over the decades benefit the Bahamas or our people. Bahamians had no input and absolutely no idea what treaties we "supposedly" agreed to. This should be criminal!
Conversely, these "treaties" actually encourage Haitians to illegally enter the Bahamas! Case in point is the "treaty" rewarding Haitians with our tax dollars for entering the country illegally, being captured and deported. WHY are we gifting Haitians hundreds of dollars upon deportation? How does this benefit Bahamians? What group of jackasses thought this was a brilliant idea and why didn't the opposing group of jackasses cease this stupidity when they returned to govern?
Questions that must be seriously contemplated by all Bahamians are **WHY** are we granting "citizenships" to Haitians and or their offspring that entered the country illegally decades ago? How and why the hell does breaking our countries immigration laws qualify generations of illegal Haitians for citizenship?
This is totally asinine, nonsensical, and reeks of ulterior motives!
We must demand that all treaties signed on behalf of the Bahamian people be exposed for our perusal!
This entire Haitian invasion dilemma doesn't pass the smell test and somebody must be held accountable for destroying our country.
**finally!** It is way past due that this major tourist sightseeing thoroughfare of West Bay Street from Blake Road to the roundabout at Old Fort Bay be upgraded.
I am continually encouraged that this administration is on the right track in several areas.
China Construction America (CCA) its affiliates and the Chinese government at large is about to discover that they cannot swing the American judicial system as they did with the Christie-led administrations' kangaroo court in the Bahamas.
Sarkis Izmirlian had a legitimate bankruptcy case with a precedent ruled by a U.S. judge as having been the proper course of action.
This Chinese request of "sealing" these matters is laughable in the real world and will not be allowed.
Mr. Izmirlian and the Americans will also move to bring pressure to unseal the Bahamas ruling which is the only proper course of action to get to the root causes of this farce perpetrated against Izmirlian by the Chinese and the Christie administration!
Stop paying the damn illegal Haitians a $300.00 bonus of our hard earned tax dollars for getting caught and deported and we will have more than enough funds to deal with this issue!
Wonderful. Let us ignore GODS guidance at Proverbs 13:24 and follow newly appointed genius Minister of Education Jeffrey Lloyd and the UN instead. What could possibly go wrong?
Most of us are thankful for good parental and scholarly discipline which included corporal punishment or the revoking of certain privileges.
What is really needed is the clarification of what is acceptable as a discipline and what can be termed as abuse!
The PLP propaganda machine is working overtime to undermine PM Minnis. Thinking people have enough sense to recognize tribal warfare for what it is.
Dr. Minnis has proven on numerous occasions to be more level-headed than Christie and Ingraham. The fair thing to do is examine the heads of agreement before jumping to a conclusion.
Our country is in a serious mess after suffering 25 years of asinine stupidity under Christie and Ingraham "leadership". This is no time for political games!
