Not one country globally has progressed following IMF austerity measures. In every instance, downgrades, instability, currency devaluations, and deeper foreign backed controlled incursions resulted.
African countries are glaring examples of how the IMF shackles countries with austerity measures deliberately designed to cause dependance to western powers, and how the very same countries immediately began to prospered after ditching the IMF despite negative warnings of failures from the IMF!
We must follow Africa's lead and free ourselves from IMF hegemony control.
Exactly what "balanced approach"and "balance correct" is this comedian referring to? Who said we need this "balance"? how does it benefit the Bahamas and Bahamians? who creates dictates and regulate this "balance"? and why the hell do we need to "balance" foreign participation in the financial services industry when no reciprocating country is minutely concerned about "balancing" Bahamians into their operation?
Politicians still think they can just get away with making up any kind of asinine word salad non-sense to feed to us. Bahamians are stupid!
It's not just in the financial services industry. Successive governments continue to allow far too many foreigners into our country to do jobs Bahamians qualify for in exchange for work permit fees.
This is the absolute nonsensical policy they use to raise funds for the treasury.
Plenty of people have been suffering for decades. They can't see any hope in things turning around as the same ole, same ole, relentlessly forges on week after week, month after month, year after year.
Unprecedented numbers of Bahamians of all ages are committing suicide. Not one American, Canadian, European, Haitian, Asian, Latino, African, or Caribbean individual among us living off the fat of the land created by Bahamians have ever committed suicide!
To make matters even worse, "affluent" Bahamians have joined expats in making damn sure to hire anybody else other than Bahamians.
NOBODY is looking out for Bahamians. Resulting is the masses financial suffering, disillusionment, despair, lack of hope, and deep feelings of no purpose to carry on living.
Trump may be 99.5% out to lunch, but his Americans first philosophy needs to be adopted in the Bahamas.
Suicide is reported to be at the national emergency level. Yet everybody has turned a blind to the problem.
