Pindling, Ingrahm, Christie, Minnis, and now Davis and their corrupt law enforcement have always governed the Bahamas as a democratic dictatorship!

DreamerX; please ask one of the thousands of unemployed and underemployed Bahamians how they feel about the supposed xenophobic and borderline prejudice "crisis"

**PM Davis is unquestionably terrified of Lincoln Bain and the COI.** The police were in full tactical riot gear with machine guns and all at the Saunders Beach roundabout yesterday handling demonstrators with unnecessary brut force.

The PLP and FNM have turned the Bahamas into a police state to protect their systemic corruption apparatus just as Haiti did with their ton ton macoute police force and look at where they are today because of it!

Everyone is in total agreement that the PLP and FNM are indisputably corrupt and have all but destroyed our country and another political solution must be found before we end up a second Haiti.

Now that someone has emerged to take the lead for change he "isn't good enough for you"?

You people out there sitting in your ivory towers are too comfortable and not willing to throw your hats into the ring, but love to denounce everybody else.

All of you need to either get involved with being and supporting the change we desperately need or STFU and allow those that are actually in the trenches doing it to get it done!

On the contrary, there are thousands of genuinely good and intelligent Haitians more than capable of properly running the country.

The problem is Haiti's existing power base made up of elites and crooked politicians will need to be totally removed before those "genuinely good and intelligent" would step forward without risking their lives!

It is an extremely long shot to even begin to believe caricom has the balls to send in forces to find and eradicate the keepers of systemic corruption in Haiti, and just in case they did, they would have to start **here in the bahamas** because systemic corruption in Haiti is joined at the hip with systemic corruption in the Bahamas!

So we will see in short order if caricom, the USA, and Canada are serious about resolving Haiti's problem. (I think not)

The Bahamas should the hub and a major gateway for air travel within the Caribbean and connections to North America and Europe.

This is a no-brainer for anyone with "real hands-on tourism experience".

In 1956, after the government imposed a 12-minute limit on parliamentary speeches, Milo Butler was arrested for throwing the Speaker's hourglass out of the window at the House of Assembly!

Hang in there Mr. Bain, you have the support of the majority of Bahamians.

What we are witnessing in Haiti today started many years ago when drug dealers and gangs became the people's leaders by default as the government became almost totally nonfunctional and the people began relying on drug dealers and gangs for everyday necessities.

Corruption brought Haiti to where it is today and nothing short of rooting out that corruption is ever going to lead to any measurable meaningful change.

The same systemic corruption among the elite class in the Bahamas also now has us fast-tracked to becoming another Haiti! Indeed serious crime and murder are now the norms, and the government has no idea how to stop the carnage. In essence, the government is already past the stage of losing control of crime.

PRIME Minister Philip “Brave” Davis and caricom can meet and discuss Haiti until hell freezes over, regardless, Haiti and the Bahamas could never change until corruption and the unimaginable graft among our leaders and their cohort of leeches are rooted out.

Singapore was in the exact same position until they decided to get serious and "make corruption a crime" to enable them to prosecute crooked politicians and the elite group of leeches that were destroying the entire country.

The Bahamas needs to follow Singapore's example however, this can only be achieved if "we the people" stand up in mass against stifling systemic corruption and unimaginable graft among leading crooked politicians and their supporting cast of leeches, friends, family, and lovers.

SP says...

PRIME Minister Philip “Brave” Davis has been dancing around this issue for quite some time but he never admits to Haiti's biggest problem which is the government and the elite class's greed and systemic corruption that is the real cause of the mess known as Haiti!

They are reaping exactly what they sowed, and the only way out is to put the well-known political and elites in prison where they belong and restructure the governance to avoid the recurrence of the massive graft among "friends, family, and lovers" that caused the economy to collapse into the hands of gangs.

Corruption brought Haiti to where it is today and nothing short of rooting out that corruption is ever going to lead to any measurable meaningful change.

The same systemic corruption among the same elite class in the Bahamas now has us fast-tracked to becoming another Haiti!

**Nothing tangible will come of the caricom focus on Haiti** because they don't have the gravitas to call a spade a spade and acknowledge corruption is the main issue that destroyed Haiti and has the Bahamas on the same slippery slope and finds ways and means to deal with the corrupt political and elite class in Haiti and the Bahamas.
