The news story says... "with possession of dangerous drugs." Still can't believe having a few grams of weed is considered a "dangerous" drug. How is that any different than going to the liquor store and buying 5 bottles of vodka (which is perfectly legal)?????

Bingo... we have a winner. Well said. And yes, John wishes it was still 1824.

You are 100% correct!! And I've got two daughters and they don't live here too. Until the Bahamas Govt, the Church, and most Bahamian men join the rest of us in the year 2024 (rather than the year 1824) -- they won't return.

Are we living 2024 or 1954???? The fact that some folks still have a stigma towards someone simply because they are divorced is beyond all levels of comprehension. This is truly so sad and appalling. The bottom line is that a relationship between two people (typically a male and a female) is going to be HARD and require constant work and effort. The divorce rate of 50% (in the US, not too sure what it is in the Bahamas) shouldn't be surprising to anyone. Especially to someone that is already married or has been in a long-term serious relationship. And actually, I'm surprised the divorce rate isn't actually closer to 75-80%. So can we please stop with the stigma!! There is nothing wrong with a divorce or a person that gets a divorce.

One strategy: We need to immediately get aggressive and start to remove all of the guns from the population. How? It could be done in steps. For example: step 1) offer a "cash for guns" promotion for the next 3 mos; and then step 2) once that expires, then give the population 3 more mos to turn in any guns remaining; and finally step 3) once those two 3-month periods of time have passed -- if you are found with a gun, instant jail time. And lastly, in tandem with step #3 -- you could offer a Reward to the public if someone turns in a person that is known to still have a gun. That might help motivate the public to start turning folks in that still have a gun hidden at home or in their car.

It's hard to believe that we are actually living in 2024 instead of 1954. In fact, this particular news story might be more embarrassing than the 20+ murders we've encountered so far for '24. Who the holy HELL does this Film Control Board think they are??????

This is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!! Are we living in 2024 or 1954? The solution is simple -- the Govt needs to purchase whatever piece of equipment that is necessary to process these rape kits. In fact, buy at least 5 of them and let's help protect the women of our country and ensure we can put the criminals behind bars. This isn't hard to figure out!!
